iWin is a leading developer and publisher of casual games and online
gaming communities for the mass market. iWin has created more than 30
Web games and three download games including Jewel Quest, a Finalist
for the 2004 Billboard Digital Entertainment Awards as "Downloadable
Game of the Year," Mah Jong Quest, and Family Feud. iWin distributes
its games through several leading web properties including Yahoo, Real
Networks, MSN, Shockwave and AOL.

Job Description

iWin is seeking a Producer to manage the design and development of
downloadable games. The Producer will be responsible for budgeting
the game development, identifying the appropriate internal/external
resources to create the game, managing the QA process, and preparing
the product to be released to the general public. The Producer will
work closely with programmers, artists, sound designers, testers, and
members of the executive team.

Responsibilities and Essential Functions Include:

• Manage projects from product conception and design through
development and launch for downloadable games
• Review game designs and provide direction with respect to all
aspects of production, including game play, UI, client/server
considerations, performance, difficulty level, and file size constraints
• Identify resources and negotiate contracts with programmers,
artists, sound designers, and testers to develop the games
• Manage production schedules to ensure agreed upon milestones are
delivered on time, design documents are kept current, and budgets are
maintained
• Develop marketing materials to support product launches, including
product descriptions, screen shots, banner ads, FAQs, and dedicated
web pages
• Manage distribution of games on other web sites taking into account
different art, installer, and wrapper requirements
• Develop post-launch strategy for creating retail, mobile phone,
international, and Mac ports
• Provide training for customer support team
• Maintain ongoing updates and releases of existing products
• Evangelize game with internal staff and external partners
Qualifications:
• Manage effectively across organization including onsite staff,
remote employees, contractors, and international development resources
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Outstanding organizational and project management skills including
scheduling, budgeting, and keeping projects on track (Microsoft
Project skills a strong plus)
• Superior attention to detail
• Strong understanding of how to manage across different disciplines
with differing goals and aggressive deadlines
• Must be a self-starter
• Ability to work effectively in both individual and team settings
• Prior experience in producing PC games, preferably downloadable
online games
• Strong technical knowledge to evaluate feasibility of design
documents and tradeoffs when considering implementation plans
• Minimum 4-year college degree (MBA a plus)
• Passion for games
Hours and Compensation:
• Full Time
• Compensation commensurate with experience.
