ms.openoffice.org

Gosh,

It's gone "live". There's actually content at http://ms.openoffice.org/.

Now, let's get past some of the OOo terminology (as some might be
confused).

ms.openoffice.org - its a subset of the Native-Lang confederation for
OOo. It really is meant to support all languages usable in Malaysia,
that we recognise, not just Bahasa Malaysia.

Being part of the native-lang confederation, we're supposed to support
all languages - Malay, English, Tamil, Mandarin.

Internationalisations (i10n) are part of what Bustamam and the rest of
you guys do here. Rock on, you're doing a great job! This is independent
of the Native-Lang confederation btw (even though many think its the
same). So, we can take ta_IN localisations and put them at the ms.oo.o
page, and its perfectly "acceptable".

Marketing should work closely with native-lang at all times. While
native-lang supports, marketing promotes.

I'm sure you get the drift, so now, here's my call for help:

1. Give me content to make the website better - full credit down your
way
2. Translate the website for me - OOo's site is UTF-8 compliant, so I'm
sure we can get Tamil & Mandarin versions of the site

Lastly, should we be uploading things to the "files" section of the
website? We are welcome to store translated builds there to the best of
my knowledge; dictionaries, training notes, etc... can all be kept there
too.

So start contributing! And thanks again. And sorry for making everyone
wait so long - I got the native-lang job in a rush from Syamsul.

Regards.
