Bulk Collect In Oracle 9i   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #454 of 457 |

hi,
currently i am working on a project where we are going to do bulk batch processings.
for this we are using bulk collect and bulk insert features of oracle 9i.
but i am facing some problem while i am doing bulk collect some thousands of records into an pls_integer record type array.
the problem is session pga is taking huge amount of memory and even after some 30 minutes also it is not releasing the memory.
i tried all possible combination in my plsql code.
i tried even deleting the array as soon as i finished processing.
still i am facing the same problem with bulk collect.
it would be very much helpful to me if anyone has any information on how to avoid this/suggestion/good practices which i have to follow to overcome this problem .

Thanks in advance

It is very well possible if you use load Java Mail API from SUN, into the db, using loadjava utility. Infact, I have implemented this, and it works. ...
