The mission of this group is to discuss the application of the new science of complexity science to social organizations.

This discussion should help raise the level of common understanding, so everyone is invited to participate no matter the level of understanding or experience in the field of complexity theory. We can all learn a great deal through dialogue with others. Further, the process of expressing our thoughts to others helps confront disconnects in our thought patterns and often raises new insights. Even dumb questions from newcomers to the field of complexity are welcome since those more experienced also learn as they try to simplify explanations.

This topic may also be known elsewhere as social complexity or management complexity. Emergence, self-organization, complex adaptive systems (CAS), chaos, and complexity are all keywords in a new and evolving science.
