Right, the None| is killing the syntax.  PCGen doesn't know what to do with
it.  That is why I put [TM] in the message heading, trying to get a Tracker
Monkey to make a Bug Tracker for it, so the LST Editor can be fixed.... :)

I *still* can't get .COPY to work for me.  Here's a simple example in a
custom templates lst file:

Lycanthrope (Werebear).COPY=Evil Werebear PREALIGN:8 VISIBLE:YES
Evil Werebear.COPY=Lycanthrope (Werebear) PREALIGN:8 VISIBLE:YES

Neither one of these two lines work.   Try commenting out one or the
other.

I have a couple of related problems in some custom class files. One class
requires the proficiency in any one of the bows. Right now the only way I've
found to do this is with PREFEAT:1,Martial Weapon Proficiency
(Longbow),Martial Weapon Proficiency (Longbow (Composite)),etc..., which
isn't very good since it's an ugly tag and doesn't account for any other
bows that might be added. PREWEAPONPROF would be better, but according to
the docs you have to be proficient in all of the weapons, not just one. Best
of all would be a way of doing either PREFEAT:1,Martial Weapon Proficiency
(TYPE=BOW) or PREWEAPONPROF:TYPE=BOW (this last would also require
PREWEAPONPROF to be modified to allow only one of the listed weapon profs to
qualify).

Similarly, I have another class that requires weapon focus with any sword. I
certainly don't want to have to do a PREFEAT:1,Weapon Focus(list of every
sword type in existence) type of thing here. Is there a way to use weapon
types in these sorts of tags?

Okay I have been wrestling with these files for a while. I created
them with 423, and they worked up until 427, which is the last time I
needed them. But now for some reason they won't work with 500 or 510.
And I've been over every @#$% line twice. Could somebody take a look
at them and figure out what either changed or is making them NOT
load? Once I get them loading I can keep working on them. And as a
side note yes I did run them through the LST Convertor.

The file is in the Yahoo group here labeled "paul.zip", I have
included a char pcg that they used to work with.

That's very strange. I just click on the links in your message and both are
working... Can you try to copy everything between the <> and paste it directly
in your browser to see if that would work? What mail client do you use to read
your mail? I know someone wrote me in the past that the <> characters where
giving him problems. I use them because it allow RFC compliant mail clients to
deal properly with URI that are splited on multiple lines.

I've got a class which gets the Adept spell list.  However, the
SPELLLIST tag seems to be broken.  I've tried both of these forms:

SPELLLIST:1,Adept
SPELLLIST:Adept

   With both of these, I get a popup list containing either "1,Adept" or
"Adept".  I can't select it, either.

    Any ideas?

In mhy campaign there are  a few more subclasses for wizards. I was
wondering if there was a way to add them to the subclass chooser.
If so, is there a way to change the cost of choosing a specific
subclass?

I beleive the following should be added to the entries for arrows
and bolts.  I treated these as MOD (since I copied them out of my
custom lst files).  Also they need to be added to the weapon
proficiency files as exotic weapons.  These are both in the SRD and
if equiped they generate valid weapon blocks.  Someone in my
campaign wanted to be like Legolas so I had to add this *grin*.

developing ;O)

I have the class all written out and saved.
I read through the docs, but I can't find how I get PCGen to read my
file and add my class to the list.

Take a look at List Files -> Tags Specific to a File -> PCC Files in the
documentation.

Hi,
I am trying to write a custom Deity file for my campaign.
The problem I am having is that when I look at the Domains page all I
see is (Deity name)\tab\tab\tab.
Is there a trick to writing these files I am unaware of? I have tried
writing the file with the insert key on as well as off. it dosn't seem
to make much of a diference.

I am trying to create a custom class and PCGen keeps choking on the
first line.
Here is the line:
CLASS:Arcane Prodegy HD:4  SPELLSTAT:Cha SPELLTYPE:Arcane
TYPE:PC.Prestige  ABB:ArP  MAXLEVEL:10 SOURCEPAGE:Custom
LANGAUTO:Literacy  BONUS:CHECKS|BASE.REFLEX|CL/3
BONUS:CHECKS|BASE.FORTITUDE,BASE.WILLPOWER|CL/2+2 BONUS:COMBAT|BAB|CL*3/4

All on one line of course. I tried blocking out elements of the line
and  I think the problem is in the BAB. When I block out the BAB the
file loads. When I leave the BAB in the file won't load. The BAB is
the same as for the rouge so it should work.
Well I've been working on this for about 2 hours now and am going to
bed before I start pulling my hair out.
Any help would be apriciated.

1. The SRD files do not have the saves in capitals, but I am not sure
if it matters .
BONUS:CHECKS|BASE.Reflex|CL/2+2<TAB>BONUS:CHECKS|BASE.Fortitude,BASE.W

2. Are you positive you do have a TAB and not a space between saves
and BAB?

Do you have a Domain file set up? There should be domains showing up
on the right pane if Domain file(s) are set up properly. You'll also
need for your deity to refer to the domains so that the character is
able to take those domains after selecting the deity.
