Still no intelligent bracketing. Same -2+2EV
I think we have to put some pressure on these people to make them understand.
When we look at how many do HDR today it is really hard to understand that they
can not do it more useable.

Dpreview has it here also

18 megapixels on APS-c sensor? unless they made some huge
breakthroughs in the last few months, this will be quite noisy and not
so useful.....

Hey Canon and everyone else, how about following Olympus, dropping out
of the megapixel race, and adding something that's actually useful,
like DYNAMIC RANGE? :-)

Well, not directly, but I can try asking some of my friends that have long time
relationships with Nital.
Nital is the only official Nikon importer for Italy, and its headquarters are
here in Turin.

What's the matter, if I can ask you?

It is getting a bit unreal is it not? Very hard to understand why Canon, Nikon
and Sony don't get how their camera's are being used by many.

You look at the new Sony A850 and it looks a bit better at first with its' 5
brackets, but in the details only 3 brackets if
+- 2 EV. Whats with that?

It's almost as if the makers think we will burn out the sensor if we are allowed
to bracket to our hearts content so they have to protect us from ourselves.
What's next a strap that's permanently fixed to the camera body?

I think the only real way to put pressure on these companies is NOT to buy but
then where does that leave you.

The after market for exposure, focus, WB, shift and remote bracketing is still
looking strong - what a pity!

You might want to look at Nikon then. The D700 can bracket 9 exposures
from 0.3 to 1.0 ev intervals. You can also slide the bracket range
using the ev compensation setting. It would be good if you could
expand it to 2ev I guess but apart from that limitation it works well.

Ciao Matt!!
Yes...
from www.canalview.it
I have one too. It was kinda forced to buy one.
I then used it in an extensive documentation.

Due to the forced 1stop steps, it produced 85b gb of raw files.
Nonetheless the waiting for the camera to clear buffer was often
frustrating...
to have a -2 0 +2 range in a 8 shots pano, I mean.

Really NOTHING TO BLAME THE CAMERA, but you cannot expect 14 real bits
images in a count of 40 to be recorded in less than 30 seconds. THEY COULD
HAVE BEEN 24!
#@##@%$#$@^#%&&diocan!!!!
Also it has a fair range nice of tricks to be done with self timelapse
controls, once you learned how to move in the idiocy of menus.

Since I just felt lack of a decent 50mm and 28mm for normal use, I just
bought the Zeiss ZF... 2nd hand and ebay.
I think you have seen the light into my eyes when I was holding "a certain
oone" last time in Prague.
Myyyy Treassssssurreee....
I can also knock it on the Canon!

Hi Dorin,

Just returned from vacation and I am reading the old mails but I must
say I am enjoying these panos so much, thank you!
Specially the 13:02 pano with the time lapse is very good.
I don't like so much to have to click the keys to switch between views,
maybe some kind of automated switch would be possible to implement.
Anyway, keep surprising us!

Does anyone know where I can find the latest version of Enfuse for the Mac?
Seems the version from December 2008 crashes on the new Snow Leopard (MacOS

There surely must be some good ... well... let's just call them "hackers" or
"crackers" out there, that have been able to access the built-in software
(firmware) and change the default settings?

In the case of Olympus, the range is only -1 0 +1 ... and that is of course
far from being enough for anything serious.

When digital cameras run on software, it has to be possible to access and
change the data to fit one's personal needs, when the producers don't
provide it.

I don't know why they haven't applied some of the 1D mark ii and mark ii
features like expanded autobracketing to the newer models. My 40d can only
shoot 3 bracketed images 2 stops apart, for a max of 4 stop range, while my
older 1D mark ii can shoot up to 7 autobracketed images 3 stops apart for a
total range of 18 stops.

Surely its only a slight change in the firmware as Trausti suggests.

Well, when I went up to photograph the giant duck I didn't realize how close he
was to the edge. I thought I would do a standard pano with my tripod etc. but
for some reason I did drag along my poles and boy I am glad I did. When I got
there I couldn't see his glasses over the beak so the the tripod idea was out. I
put together my poles which gives me about 12' tall on my camera which got my
viewpoint up high enough to see the face. It was kinda' windy so the duck was
shaking around and I am basically handholding and rotating the pole hoping to
keep it steady enough to avoid a nightmare stitch. I did shoot some brackets but
I was able to pull this together from just 1 series and made 2 exposures from
the original RAW files. I did have to shoot 6 around and then bring down my pole
and move the camera to the up position and then raise the pole back up and hoped
to get it close enough to the original position for the up shot. Anyway it
wasn't too bad just some minor retouching with the skew tool to get some lines
back together. I also had to reconstruct the area where I was standing and
remove my shadow from the duck.

I just ran a test of your Bracketeer on 10.6 without any problem.
