("Joe Hill, murdered by the capitalist class, Nov. 19, 1915.")

by Dick Meister, Information Clearinghouse

It's Nov. 19, 1915, in a courtyard of the Utah State Penitentiary in Salt Lake
City. Five riflemen take careful aim at a condemned organizer for the Industrial
Workers of the World, Joe Hill, who stands before them straight and stiff and
proud.

"Fire!" he shouts defiantly.

The firing squad didn't miss. But Joe Hill, as the folk ballad says, "ain't
never died." He lives on as one of the most enduring and influential of American
symbols.

Joe Hill's story is that of a labor martyr framed for murder by viciously
anti-labor employer and government forces, a man who never faltered in fighting
for the rights of the oppressed, who never faltered in his attempts to bring
them together for the collective action essential if they were to overcome their
wealthy and powerful oppressors.

His is the story of a man and an organization destroyed by government opposition
yet immensely successful. As historian Joyce Kornbluh noted, the IWW made "an
indelible mark on the American labor movement and American society," laying the
groundwork for mass unionization, inspiring the formation of groups to protect
the civil liberties of dissidents, prompting prison and farm labor reforms, and
leaving behind "a genuine heritage … industrial democracy."

Be ready to bend over and take the tax. That is some "change" we voted for.
Loir Goltl

by Scott Creighton

At first I thought that this was a joke; an internet politicized rumor run
amuck. How wrong I was.

HR 4130 – Share the sacrifice Act of 2010 has been proposed in the House of
Representatives by David Obey. It is an additional income tax to be amended to
the U.S. tax code to pay for the ongoing illegal occupation of Afghanistan and
Iraq and whatever other "extremist" nation Hillary Clinton and her Bilderberg
buddies deem "unacceptable" to the new world order.

It was announced the other day by a bunch of loyal democrats (I should say they
are loyal to the DLCers in the White House, not the American people) which
included Barney Frank, John Murtha, and David Obey. The idea is to hit up anyone
making more than $22,600 for some more cash, even though jobs are scarce,
benefits are gone, and we are about to be mandated by law to buy health
insurance from companies that are already using their newfound political muscle
to undercut established medical practices that are known to save lives.

You see, a new report just came out from the Congressional Budget Office that
says that in order to pay for Obama's "surge" plans in Afghanistan, the Pentagon
budget is going to have to be increased by at least 6% starting in 2010. That
increase in costs threatens to harm the defense contractors profits over the
next couple of years, so, of course, David Obey and the other sycophantic
democrat House members rush out a bill to force the poor working families in
America to pay for the increase. Thus saving the profit margins of the
war-profiteers.

Think the worst is over? Wrong. Conditions in the U.S. labor markets are awful
and worsening. While the official unemployment rate is already 10.2% and another
200,000 jobs were lost in October, when you include discouraged workers and
partially employed workers the figure is a whopping 17.5%.

While losing 200,000 jobs per month is better than the 700,000 jobs lost in
January, current job losses still average more than the per month rate of
150,000 during the last recession.

Also, remember: The last recession ended in November 2001, but job losses
continued for more than a year and half until June of 2003; ditto for the
1990-91 recession.

So we can expect that job losses will continue until the end of 2010 at the
earliest. In other words, if you are unemployed and looking for work and just
waiting for the economy to turn the corner, you had better hunker down. All the
economic numbers suggest this will take a while. The jobs just are not coming
back.

Often lauded as the 'CCTV state' and 'the most surveilled country in the world',
the UK may soon deliver a killing blow to the Internet as we know it. Cory
Doctorow of Boing Boing is reporting some leaked legislation from the UK
government that would remove any kind of freedom or privacy that the Internet
grants its users.

The proposed amendments to the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act would allow
the Secretary of State (or 'Pirate-Finder General') to alter the law on an
ad-hoc basis without approval by Parliament (the UK's Senate).

Cory goes on to site the potential repercussions of these proposed changes:

As if they didn't cause enough damage by espousing theories that failed to
account for the inefficiencies and irrationalities of the real world, many
economists are advocating aggressive spend-and-borrow policies to revive the
financial crisis-hit U.S. economy that reflect an astonishing degree of naïveté
and ivory tower hubris.

In a word, the Keynesian Kool-Aid drinkers are saying that debt doesn't matter.

As I see it, there are plenty of reasons to challenge the apparent indifference
of Paul Krugman, Dean Baker, James Kwak, and others to the parabolic rise in
public debt, including the fact that the latest crisis, like many of those
before it, stemmed from a similar complacency about the risks of unrestrained
borrowing.

But as someone whose long experience in financial markets helped him to
anticipate the kinds of earth-shattering developments most economists didn't see
coming, I find the popular argument that current low yields on government bonds
are a vote of confidence on current policies to be utterly ridiculous.

But Hardman swears he has videotaped dozens of extraterrestrial spacecraft over

"Most of them are triangular in shape or kind of a teardrop," Hardman says.

He posts his videos on his YouTube channel where you can now view 51 clips,
including last Saturdays close encounter with what he describes as an alien
flying machine that approached within a few hundred feet.

"They're totally silent but this is the one time I could actually hear one, it

MUFON, the Mutual UFO Network, lists 23 reports of UFO sightings over Harris

Two Minnesota cows that could have ended up on a dinner plate were pulled from
slaughter lines after federal inspectors discovered dangerously high levels of
antibiotics in both animals. In a rare move, federal officials sent stern
warning letters to two central Minnesota dairy farms, which were among only 30
farms nationwide reprimanded so far this year for violating the rules governing
how animal drugs can be used.

J&L Dairy, in Clarissa, Minn., sent a dairy cow to slaughter in March, even
though it was drugged with 129 times the amount of penicillin allowed under
federal regulations.

Investment funds are buying billions of dollars' worth of home loans, discounted
from the loans' original value. Then, in what might seem an act of charity, the
funds are helping homeowners by reducing the size of the loans.

But as part of these deals, the mortgages are being refinanced through lenders
that work with government agencies like the Federal Housing Administration. This
enables the funds to pocket sizable profits by reselling new, government-insured
loans to other federal agencies, which then bundle the mortgages into securities
for sale to investors.

While homeowners save money, the arrangement shifts nearly all the risk for the
loans to the federal government — and, ultimately, taxpayers — at a time when
Americans are falling behind on their mortgage payments in record numbers.

These days, you can get soy versions of just about any meat -- from hot dogs to
buffalo wings. If you're lactose-intolerant you can still enjoy soy ice-cream
and soy milk on your cereal. If you're out for a hike and need a quick boost of
energy, you can nibble on soy candy bars.

Soy is a lucrative industry. According to Soyfoods Association of North America,
from 1992 to 2008, sales of soy foods have increased from $300 million to $4
billion. From sales numbers to medical endorsements, it would seem that soy has
reached a kind of miracle food status.

In 2000 the American Heart Association gave soy the thumbs up and the FDA
proclaimed: "Diets low in saturated fat and cholesterol that include 25 grams of
soy protein a day may reduce the risk of heart disease." Over the course of the
last decade medical professionals have touted its benefits in fighting not just
cardiovascular disease, but cancers, osteoporosis and diabetes.

But soy's glory days may be coming to an end. New research is questioning its
health benefits and even pointing out some potential risks. Although definitive
evidence may be many years down the road, the American Heart Association has
quietly withdrawn its support. And some groups are waging an all-out war,
warning that soy can lead to certain kinds of cancers, lowered testosterone
levels, and early-onset puberty in girls.

Most of the soy eaten today is also genetically modified, which may pose another
set of health risks. The environmental implications of soy production, including
massive deforestation, increased use of pesticides and threats to water and
soil, are providing more fodder for soy's detractors.

Norway that the rate on increase of flu is increasing rapidly. In Norway for

outbreak in Ukraine, the government was running pneumonic plague drills. In
early November, there were also pneumonic plague drills being run in Illinois.
Connect the dots. Notable there have also been reports of heavy supply and
personnel movement in and out of known D.U.M.B.s (Deep Underground Military

these bases are full and haven't been this full since just after 911. What is

Unemployment in the United States is now officially at 10.2%. Add in those
individuals that no longer receive unemployment benefits, are no longer looking
for a job, or for some other reason are not included in the above number and you
are at 20% unemployment. Not a pretty figure.

Historically 25-30% unemployment is when things start to get real ugly. The only
thing holding back the ugliness is the Social Safety Net available to those that
are not presently able to generate an income. Food stamps, health care, housing
allowances, unemployment benefits and other financial support from the State, is
only available when our government can "borrow" the money to pay for them.

The sister of a British scientist who died in a mysterious fall has told how she
rescued potential evidence from being destroyed by police.

Beverley Hall, 49, said she has been forced to store the clothes her brother
wore on the night he died after officers revealed they were due to be burned.

She is now campaigning for police to investigate properly the death of Timothy
Hampton, who plunged from the 17th floor of a UN building in Vienna last month.

Austrian detectives have insisted that Mr Hampton, a 47-year-old scientist
involved in monitoring nuclear activity, committed suicide.

But Mrs Hall, who runs a caravan park in Newbury, Berkshire, believes there is
enough evidence – including signs of bruising around her brother's neck
consistent with strangulation – to suggest he did not kill himself.

bacteria, including some known to cause disease in people, concludes a new
international study conducted by a University of Maryland environmental health
researcher and microbial ecologists at the Ecole Centrale de Lyon in France.

The research team describes the study as the first to show that "cigarettes
themselves could be the direct source of exposure to a wide array of potentially
pathogenic microbes among smokers and other people exposed to secondhand smoke."
Still, the researchers caution that the public health implications are unclear
and urge further research.

"We were quite surprised to identify such a wide variety of human bacterial
pathogens in these products," says lead researcher Amy R. Sapkota, an assistant
professor in the University of Maryland's School of Public Health.
