1. Introduction
This is still Pastor Bill's Newsletter, I just decided to add my wife's name since she was a contributor towards the main article an exhortation called "Ruth's Loyalty". For something different I decided to have my wife who is a licensed Minister share from a Mother's perspective for our Mother's Day message. I asked her to share what was on her heart and we collaborated together on the final copy of her message "Ruth's Loyalty". ( I was her secretary, ghost writer, and editor today).
Once Minister Rosemary had an idea of what she wanted to say, we were able to pick out a corresponding scripture for this month.
2. Scripture for this month
Ruth 1:15-19
And she (Naomi) said, Behold, thy sister in law is gone back unto her people, and unto her gods: return thou after thy sister in law. And Ruth said, Intreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God: Where thou diest, will I die, and there will I be buried: the LORD do so to me, and more also, if ought but death part thee and me. When she saw that she was stedfastly minded to go with her, then she left speaking unto her. So they two went until they came to Bethlehem.
3. Ruth's Loyalty
Naomi as the mother-in-law was like a mother to Ruth. The Lord Jesus Christ promises to be with us even when all forsake us. Ruth did the same by showing loyalty to Naomi, which is in actuality showing honor and respect to Naomi, her mother-in-law.
So this is a reminder not to forget Mothers this weekend. In gratefulness and thankfulness all should be remembering Mothers in your lifes especially on special days like Mother's Day, holidays and your Mom's Birthday.
If your Mother is passed away and she was Christian, you can honor her by serving the Lord, all of the time. The reason would be because a godly mother, Nanny, and/or some other godly lady that was a mother image prayed for you.
I know how it feels being forgotten by a prodigal son that I do not know where he is, if he is alive or not and do not even hear from him on these special days. Please pray for my oldest son.
Anyway, also, please remember to encourage all mothers you know. Especially, if the mother is a single parent or has an unsaved husband because both of those situations make it very difficult to raise children up in the Lord, even though it is possible. Jesus makes the difference.
Happy and blessed Mothers Day to all mothers.
Love in Christ, Minister Rosemary 4. PS If you have a child (young or adult) you would like me to pray for them then send me an e-mail at Rosebud649@... or send a prayer request to EPW - Ezekiel's Prayer Warriors

If you want to hand-feed your baby birds to make them hand-tamed and more affectionate you can wait until they are at the age you are comfortable with. At a very young age they will need to be fed every hour. For more details purchase a Cockatiel handbook (the paper back ones are inexpensive). Just remember at sometime after 4 weeks they begin to wean so hand-feeding should be before that..... as far as making them hand-tamed the younger the better.
If neither parent is feeding their chicks and they are older then 15 hours but so young as to be not yet weaned then you need to take over their feeding.
If you do a web-search on "hand-feeding Cockatiels" some web videos of hand-feeding should pop up in your results.
The following website with a video of how to hand-feed s on the Kaytee website. Web-page with video on hand-feeding birds. It just happens that we use their powder formula for hand-feeding and their rainbow product for our adult birds. (No. I get nothing from them for saying that!)
Most people use a syringe when the birds are very young. We found the syringe builds up pressure and squirts out too much formula too quick. So we use either an eye dropper (when the formula is still watery enough. Also, we use a Tubette which is plastic and only $1 each at one of our local pet shops. What is good about this Tubette being plastic is since it is only one dollar and plastic we can cut farther up the tube to make it less narrow as the formula needs to be mixed thicker which is as the chicks get older.
Eventually when we notice the chicks are biting a lot on the litter in their nest-box and/or brooder then we try with a very small plastic measuring spoon to see if they are ready to eat without a syringe or tubette. The reason I suggest a plastic spoon is because chicks beaks are not as hard as when they are older and that is just my personal precaution.
At the point they are biting at the spoon and eating well we will mix a little of their smaller seeds a including some millet seed in their formula to begin get them ready for weaning. This will vary from chick to chick becvause depending on their developmen and even their personality some chicks might not be ready as soon to eat off of the plastic measuring spoon.
Seeds especially millet seed are easier then pellets for the ver young to eat when the first begin to wean. Since at this point your birds will begin to explore their home put some of such seeds in a food dish (preferably a low flat dish for now) , we will also spread it on the floor of their brooder house and/or their nest-box. Shortly after this it will be time to give them a water cup/dish.
Don't forget to talk to others (in person or by e-mail) for suggestions as well as asking your local pet shop if any of their sales clerks who have experience with Cockatiels and/or hand-feeding birds!
These are only suggetsions. Please refer to Cocaktiel Handbooks and Instructions which come with handfeeding formula.

We are having serious problems with our computer and do not have the finances to
purchase another at this time.
So if we stop posting in our groups and do not reply to e-mails for several
weeks or even several months that will be why.
Most likely; it will not be because of our health but because we are offline.
I do not know how much longer our computer will be working.
If I do not post for a week or longer that might be due to our busyness so do
not worry.
If our omputer crashes; please pray for us.
Pay for our finances and for our health.

Also, by sending this out in simple text;
the subscribers of other groups who receive their posts by Daily Digest will
still be able to read it.

that is why this will be sent out to all of my groups.
Resurrection Sunday Devotional 2008
Notice that I am keeping my comments to a minimum.
I think most who know of Jesus Christ's crucifixion will understand how the
portions of scripture in this devotional relate to what Jesus suffered and of
His final victory over sin, death and the grave for us all!
I would be thrilled if members would like to post on which verses from the
writings of Moses and the prophets shared that they can correlate to Christ in
our Back Issues group at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/BackIssuesNewsletter/.
The writings of Moses and the prophet is how Jesus referred to the Old Testament
when speaking of prophecies of Himself; I shared that they can correlate to
Christ.
I would love to see more Bible study type discussions start as a result of this
post.
If some of you readers are seekers perhaps you would prefer to ask me questions
privately.
Private correspondence with me on spiritual issues is also OK.
In that case you can e-mail me at PastorBill3rd@....
In case Yahoo does not show the full e-mail; here is my e-mail disassembled:

A few Prophecies of the Messiah's Crucifixion and Resurrection:
by Pastor Bill
--------------
God said to the serpent, the Devil,
in Genesis of the serpent's tempting Adam and Eve
and they disobeyed God:
And I will put enmity between thee and the woman,
and between thy seed and her seed;
it shall bruise thy head,
and thou shalt bruise his heel.
Genesis 3:15
In other words the bruising of the heal would be a serious attack from the
serpent against the Messiah (the sufferring on the Cross) but the seed of the
woman
(the Messiah, our Messiah and Saviour; Jesus Christ)
would do the greater damage to the serpent's head (the place of power and
authority).
Jesus did die on the Cross but as proof that it was for our sins, Jesus Christ
rose from the dead on the third Day as Jesus had predicted of Himself. In the
process Jesus defeated the serpent's power, in effect, crushing that serpent's
head, destroying Satan's authority. Only God can forgive sin, raise Himself
from the bonds of death,
and defeat Satan, that old serpent!
Praise God!
--------------------------------------
Two more of many Scripture passages
that prophesy the Messiah's suffering and resurrection
are Psalm 22 and Isaiah chapter 53.
Psalm 22
1 My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?
why art thou so far from helping me, and from the words of my roaring?
2 O my God, I cry in the day time, but thou hearest not;
and in the night season, and am not silent.
3 But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.
4 Our fathers trusted in thee: they trusted, and thou didst deliver them.
5 They cried unto thee, and were delivered: they trusted in thee, and were not
confounded.
6 But I am a worm, and no man; a reproach of men, and despised of the people.
7 All they that see me laugh me to scorn:
they shoot out the lip, they shake the head, saying,
8 He trusted on the LORD that he would deliver him:
let him deliver him, seeing he delighted in him.
9 But thou art he that took me out of the womb:
thou didst make me hope when I was upon my mother's breasts.
10 I was cast upon thee from the womb: thou art my God from my mother's belly.
11 Be not far from me; for trouble is near; for there is none to help.
12 Many bulls have compassed me: strong bulls of Bashan have beset me round.
13 They gaped upon me with their mouths, as a ravening and a roaring lion.
14 I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint:
my heart is like wax; it is melted in the midst of my bowels.
15 My strength is dried up like a potsherd; and my tongue cleaveth to my jaws;
and thou hast brought me into the dust of death.
16 For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have inclosed me:
they pierced my hands and my feet.
17 I may tell all my bones: they look and stare upon me.
18 They part my garments among them, and cast lots upon my vesture.
19 But be not thou far from me, O LORD: O my strength, haste thee to help me.
20 Deliver my soul from the sword; my darling from the power of the dog.
21 Save me from the lion's mouth:
for thou hast heard me from the horns of the unicorns.
22 I will declare thy name unto my brethren:
in the midst of the congregation will I praise thee.
23 Ye that fear the LORD, praise him; all ye the seed of Jacob, glorify him;
and fear him, all ye the seed of Israel.
24 For he hath not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted;
neither hath he hid his face from him; but when he cried unto him, he heard.
25 My praise shall be of thee in the great congregation:
I will pay my vows before them that fear him.
26 The meek shall eat and be satisfied:
they shall praise the LORD that seek him: your heart shall live for ever.
27 All the ends of the world shall remember and turn unto the LORD:
and all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before thee.
28 For the kingdom is the LORD's: and he is the governor among the nations.
29 All they that be fat upon earth shall eat and worship: all they that go down
to the dust shall bow before him: and none can keep alive his own soul.
30 A seed shall serve him; it shall be accounted to the Lord for a generation.
31 They shall come,
and shall declare his righteousness
unto a people that shall be born,
that he hath done this.
Isaiah Chapter 53
1 Who hath believed our report?
and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed?
2 For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant,
and as a root out of a dry ground:
he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him,
there is no beauty that we should desire him.
3 He is despised and rejected of men;
a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief:
and we hid as it were our faces from him;
he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows:
yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
5 But he was wounded for our transgressions,
he was bruised for our iniquities:
the chastisement of our peace was upon him;
and with his stripes we are healed.
6 All we like sheep have gone astray;
we have turned every one to his own way;
and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.
7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted,
yet he opened not his mouth:
he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter,
and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb,
so he openeth not his mouth.
8 He was taken from prison and from judgment:
and who shall declare his generation?
for he was cut off out of the land of the living:
for the transgression of my people was he stricken.
9 And he made his grave with the wicked,
and with the rich in his death;
because he had done no violence,
neither was any deceit in his mouth.
10 Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him;
he hath put him to grief:
when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin,
he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days,
and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand.
11 He shall see of the travail of his soul,
and shall be satisfied:
by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many;
for he shall bear their iniquities.
12 Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great,
and he shall divide the spoil with the strong;
because he hath poured out his soul unto death:
and he was numbered with the transgressors;
and he bare the sin of many,
and made intercession for the transgressors.

Hi, for you newer subscribers.: I am an ordained Minister, attend a local church and though I do not oversee a pyhsical congregation; I am an internet Pastor overseeing Ezekiel 37 Bible Watch Ministries of Ezekiel 37 Bible Watch founded with the help of the Holy Spirit . I also oversee the OnLine Bible Church. My wife Minister Rosemary Mazzulla also has a web-page called "A Blossoming Rose Garden" .
About e-mail settings since I usually do this Newsletter in HTML format and that format does not work on Daily Digests, members settings should not be on Daily digest. In fact if you are a subscribing member you either subscribed, signed up or asked me to sign you up for my newsletter therefore you should be willing to receive it by Individual E-mail and all members will be set to Individual E-mail. This will not cause your e-mail box to be flooded because I do a limited amount of Newsletters (between a few per month to once every two months).
I ask you, our subscribers please be patient with me.. If I had the time; I would like to send a Newsletter out once per week. As it is due to time restraints and other responsibilities; I am doing well if I send Pastor Bill's Newsletter out as a monthly Newsletter. As to content the format is similar each time but content varies and so does the format; depending on time I have for graphics and on doing more then one article. Some of the material in this edition will be famaliarto ou faithful long-time subscribers. However I think the subject material is worth reviewing as well as giving new readers an idea of what our Newsletter and net ministry is about.
The Scripture For Today and the Flashback of an old " Net Ministry Update" are both from our 12-03-06 issue of Pastor Bill's Newsletter. In that Issue of our Newsletter Sister LeeAnna started her devotional out with Luke 2:14 so I made it "Scripture of the Day" for that issue. That Scripture also corresponds with our old " Net Ministry Update" is why I included it here. I have decided I will write a few of my own comments on that scripture. There are times in the past and will be again where the Scripture-Commentary/Devotional/Bible-Studiies will be longer then this month's.
The table of contents is so you can scroll up and down to see what you might be most interested in reading first. Hopefully you will come back to this E-mail or to Pastor Bill's Newsletter website to eventually read all of the articles in this edition and check out many of the links. Thank you.
--- Pastor Bill
2. Scripture for Today
Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men. Luke 2:14
3. Pastor Bill's Scripture commentary
Luke 2:14 is a scripture that is used often at Christmas time. (We also used it then.) That is fine because the angels did tell the shepherds that at Jesus birth. At Christmas time, we are more likely to see bumper stickers that say; "Jesus is the Reason for the Season!". This is also fine and true. Even better this past year I saw a revision of that expression which stated: "Jesus is the Reason for Every Season". This is even more true. In fact there are a fair number of sermons and exhortations around Christmas time that everyday should be Christmas time. That is that when Jesus Christ humbled himself not only as a human, not only in a poor family, not only starting out as a baby when he came to earth, Jesus also humbled Himself unto the Cross bearing and dying for our sins . That is enough to celebrate Christ everyday!
Not only that take note of this: Jesus Christ is now in Heaven praying for us all, and all believers washed in the blood of Christ can boldly go to the throne of grace in prayer. And Jesus is coming back to gather us, His believers one day. This is enough to make us shout "Glory to God! ".
When we follow Jesus Christ's example; us believers should have enough love for our neighbors and even love for our enemies that we should do our best to "be at peace with all men" while not compromising our spiritual faith. Of course if in our own lifes we have a peaceble attitude and "good will toward men" (and toward women) then God will bless our lifes as a witness for Him and open up opportunities to verbally share the peace and love of Jesus Christ in our hearts. This is where boldness seasoned with grace comes in. We need to have wisdom about when to share and what to share of the Gospel while having boldness and openness so we do not miss those God-given opportunities.
4. Flashback Originally Written 2-03-06; Slightly edited for this edition Net Ministry Update Peace good will toward All!
Awhile
back a mother in India asked us to pray for Muslim husband that is
beating her. This husband is also keeping her daughter away from her
in another hut and refuses to allow the mother to see her daughter. She
told us that she knew if her husband believed in Jesus then he would
stop beating her and she would be able to see her daughter again. We
prayed. Then we answered that e-mail saying we were praying and never
heard from her again.
This is a portion from a letter that was my answer ( edited slightly for this edition) to Sister LeeAnna about our ministry, and then she suggested I add it to that edition's newsletter after her devotional. That was in our Christmas Edition dated 12-03-2006:
+++++++++++++++++++++++
Actually
every so often we get e-mails (and messages through Yahoo 360) from
places like the Phillipines, Africa, India & Pakistan. Their are other countries but outside of North America, those seem to be the most.
Their have been a few e-mails from Brazil. A fairly recent e-mail was asking me if I could go to a town in the Amazon in Peru to preach. It was in Spanish so I had to use the Babel Fish translator http://babelfish.altavista.com/ to understand. (my High School Spanish was poor and has mostly faded away from memory). Since then I realized the language in Brazil would be Portugese,
I must have remembered back when I first translated that pastor's letter. Invitations to India, Pakistan and Africa are common but one to the Amazon in Portugese is a little unusual. Oh what we could do in world evangelism if we had an abundance of finances! Oh well at least our words are encouraging some through the web.
Back to India: Just this week we got a second e-mail to Minister Rosemary (my wife) from a mother in India (different then the mother I previously mentioned) who is asking for prayer for her son because he is going to marry "a heathen woman". Those were her words in her first e-mail. Now she is asking us to continue to pray on that for her son and to also pray that her daughter finds a Christian husband.
Amazing
that in a country which consists mostly of Muslims, Hindus and
Buddhists, that the few Christians are finding Rosemary's and my
websites!
And
oh yes, I am trying to help a young man from Ghana who wants to be a
minister to connect him with a missionary I know in Ghana, who has a
Bible training program as part of his mission.
END of Quoting from Letter. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++
And since I wrote the above; the mother from India e-mailed us another prayer request, this time, asking us to pray for justice in a certain situation (too involved to explain here). Please keep her in Prayer. Jesus knows her name.
Also please pray for our ministry and for our finances. If we were finanancially free then we could do even more for Jesus. This would include more time on the net reaching out to the world with the hope and love of Jesus Christ.

I Announcements
Do to how busy I am and that I wanted to get this Newsletter out early enough for you to check out the link to the Chaplains message, time to ponder the messages in this Newsletter and to have time to forward it to your friends and family. Hopefully they will enjoy Pastor Bill's Newsletter Christmas Edition 2007. That is why their are no animations this time and not many links either.
A friend had sent me a video of Chaplain Jim White in Baghdad sending his Christmas greetings and asking for prayer for those serving in the military. Just click on the words in that section to see the video.
Speaking of prayer please remember my wife Minister Rosemary. More details in the Prayer Request section. There is a short story of Christmas Kindness (Did an Angel help me?) I experienced while shopping, this year 2007. It was a pleasant surprise! In Food For Thought: I was going to get into scriptures and math that together proof most likely Jesus was born in December or early January but I decided not to go deep into that because this Newsletter will be long enough and I believe that my point about using this season as an opportunity is a valid point withpout the extra information.
Finally, in the last article, more of my personal experiences with a few reflections upon Christmas.
II Prayer requests.
1. Please pray for our troops and their families. This is one of the times of year that their sacrifice becomes intense. If possible give to USO or any organization that is doing something to help our military members and/or the families have a better Christmas. USO is the one I am aware of. A link to a video of a "Chaplain in Baghdad is in the next section.
2. Those of you who belong to my other groups and/or groups I moderate, probably already know this but this is for the rest of our subscribers.
Minister Rosemary, aka Sister Rosemary, is a licensed minister and my wife.
When healthy she likes to sing and play (strum) her Q-chord (like an electronic auto-harp but with other instrument sounds, also). Minister Rosemary also has a ministry of prayer (praying for all involved in my internet ministry, including you). Her ministry as the Lord leads and the opportunities arise includes exhortation and testifying of the love of Jesus. In fact now they are coming to her. Minister Rosemary finds ways to bring Jesus and prayer into the conversations with her therapist and nurses when they come to the house to tend to her. While they are tending to her; she tends to them spiritually. Praise God! Please pray for her speedy recovery. I know Minister Rosemary, Sister Rosemary appreciates everyone's prayers. Thanks for your prayers.
3. Please pray for our ministry.
Both our internet ministry and other aspects of ministry.
I love preaching the Word, teaching the Word, exhorting, ministering to the Lost and to God's people.
I desire to preach as an Evangelist more often but in the past few
years, evangelistic opportunities for us to minister are rare.
Minister Rosemary, my wife loves to visit churches with me, sing, testify, pray
with and encourage the whole congregation, as well as individuals. Please pay that once Minister Rosemary is recovered, that the Lord will open up doors for us to do Pulpit ministry as visiting evangelists to various churches in Maine and New England. Evangelizing even further, if it be the Lord's will and He provides the finances.
Because my legs bother me constantly but worse when I am on my feet, (except for while I preach under the anointing), I try to use a riding cart many stores make available. Thankfully Walmart is one of those stores.
A side note for the fist time in years, our local Walmart has lawn Nativity scenes. This gladdens my heart, that even in their merchandising they are acknowledging Christmas and not just a "Winter Holiday". If only I could afford a set!
Anyway back to my main thought. Usually, my wife Minister Rosemary helps me. She helps me by getting a regular grocery cart and putting all of our groceries in it as I check out. Then once I park the riding cart I lean on the regular grocery cart which now has our groceries placed in it and I push it out to the parking lot. But she is home-bound during her recovery.
This true story happened to me earlier this week. I did so much shopping that the small basket in the riding cart was almost over full (grocery shopping and Christmas dinner shopping). I was also carrying a large box (plastic shelves kit) with one hand while steering the riding cart with the other. When I got to the check-out the woman in front of me asked if I would be able to fit everything back in the small basket of the riding cart. My response was to thank her and say something like; "It's OK, I will get by". She was done ringing up her stuff and I thought was gone. The next thing I know she had an empty cart, and was putting my bagged up groceries and merchandise in the regular cart as the cashier rang them up. Then she pushed the regular cart out to the entrance for me while I parked the riding cart. I thanked her immensely and offered her $5 for her helping me and for her time (over 20 minutes, maybe over 1/2 hour). She told me; "No that is alright. Just give it to Salvation Army". I had to drive to the other entrance because Salvation Army was not at both entrances but after experiencing such kindness; I was glad to give to the Salvation Army who helps so many low-income families have a nicer Christmas.
It almost felt like I was in a mini-Christian Christmas version of "Touched By An Angel". Now that lady had the Christmas Spirit. I never found out if she was a Christian or not but she had the Christmas Spirit of taking the time to give of herself and then still think of others again. People that give of themselves like that at Christmas time, often are the kind that do give of themselves all year long. Was I touched by an Angel? Maybe. That stranger's kindness is one more reason that this Christmas Season special to me; knowing that there are still strangers willing to take time to help others.
Which reminds me of something else. Yes, Jesus is the reason for the season and to remember it; that is an excellent start! But I also saw this slogan recently: "Jesus is the reason for every season." AMEN!
V Food For Thought
I believe if you look at the story of Elizabeth's conception shortly after the Holy Day (Yom Kippur) and then later Mary's conception. Then do a little arithmetic and you would discover that Jesus was most likely born between late December and ealy January. I could go into explaining this in more detail but I think this Newsletter will be long enough. Even if Jesus was not born this time of year it is an opportunity but first a little background.
Some people observe traditions out of tradition. That is not always good because some traditions might be harmless while other traditions might go against Christianity, like lifting up Saint Nicholas (Santa Claus, Kris Kringle) above Jesus Christ. The real Saint Nickolaus would roll over in His grave and rebuke all who would do such a thing to His Saviour. The best I know is that Saint Nicholas served the same God as us, Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour.
Then there are traditions of anti-tradition.
Like those who insist that Christmas was only instituted because the
Church world was Romanized (Roman pagan influence) as a result of
Constatine's claim to Christian conversion. Maybe his conversion
was sincere, maybe not. Some scholars along with ministers and
Christians who study them claim that Constatine is how the catholic,
universal church adopted so much pagan Romanism. Maybe Constatine was sincere. Even so, many claimed to be converted especially soldiers and Roman
politicians in order to say they were of the same faith as Constatine, and to be able to claim to be Constatine's brother. (Even the pagans grasped the idea that the Christians claimed to be a family in Christ and thus brothers and sisters.).
Perhaps Constatine did introduce Romanism into he church world. Maybe
not. Maybe it just happened from all those claiming to be Christian in
order to be associated with Constatine joining the church while still
pagan at heart. If a church even nowadays tripled and most of those new voting members were desiring everything except Jesus Christ, that
would be enough to make the church start practicing and
preaching/teaching unbiblical ideas. Especially if as a new majority they just happened to eventually vote in a church board that thought like them and then found a pastor who thought like them to replace the Bible preaching Holiness Pastor. Of course it would be wrong but it
has happened to some churches and even whole denominations. Churches approving of Sodmites uniting (homosexual marraiges and civil unions of them) is one modern example of this.
Anyway,
many claim that Christmas was started because of the Pagan Festival
during the Winter Solstice which is on December 21. Scholars and
commentators smarter then myself have debated for centuries whether Christ's birth was December 25th or it was hand-picked for the then Romanized Church World by pagan influences not wanting to give up their Winter Solstice celebrations. One
thing I will acknowledge is that some of customs and ideas originated in
Paganism, like Christmas magic, luck (good or bad) and elves are 3 examples. In fact
elves, fairies, genies, gnomes were originally all part of pagan
religious belief systems. In reality elves, fairies, genies, gnomes etc.
were demons spirits that the people were afraid of and oftentimes also
worshiped. On Mars Hill In the King James Bible;l the Apostle Paul told those there at mars Hill :seeing all of their idols: "I perceive that you are a superstitious people", which also means a religious people. But dead religion and religion of demons does not save. So the idea of Santa's elves is demonic because that is what elves originally were.
However Christmas only being a Pagan Festival in disguise, as a
Christian Holy Day or really being the day Jesus was born has been
debated by scholars and ministers for centuries. Many of them on both
sides of the argument are more intelligent in their knowledge of the
Word then myself. I know some say that Christmas is a pagan day connected with the winter solstice of December 21. As already stated I believe Jesus was born in late December or early January, But
even if it is true about Christmas actually being picked at December 25
due to the Winter Solstice; this is a time of year that is great
opportunity for us Christians to share the Christ of Christmas.
For
one: this is the only time of year people will listen to songs about
Jesus (some Christmas carols), watch plays and musicals (Christmas
Cantatas) about Jesus, even watch movies about Jesus and movies about
the Bible.
In fact many unchurched, usually unbelieving parents and/or other relatives will
attend a church to see a very amateur production because their child is
in that play or church Christmas concert. What a wonderful opportunity
for the church to share the Gospel!
With all of this openness to Jesus during the Christmas season; we
should be looking for opportunities to share the reason of hope that
God has given us. That hope is through Christ not only being born but
also dying for our sins and raising from the dead; we not only have a
hope for eternity but also as we go through this life. Let us not lose
this rare yearly opportunity by fussing over the fact that some think
Jesus was not born this time of year.
But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear: 1 Peter 3:15
Christmas Season ( celebrating Jesus Birth) and even the New Year with all of the attempts to change (New Year's Resolutions) are times of the year that offer unique opportunities to obey 1 Peter 3:15. We Christians should be giving an answer of that hope all year long but this time of the year there are more opportunities To fulfill 1 Peter 3:15 .
VI Further Personal Experiences of Christmas Season 2007 (so far)
Usually we like to decorate for Christmas time. It is usually finished before Thanksgiving or mostly finished by the end of Thanksgiving weekend. Our
decorations are lights, nativity scenes (of the birth of Jesus) other
Christmas paraphernalia like angels, wooden soldiers, snowflake
decorations stuck to the window etc. Also, a miniature Christmas village we have collected (mostly 1 or 2) buildings at a time over the years. When
we have space for all of our buildings there are many churches because
that is my favorite part of the village ... different style churches as
a reminder of serving Jesus.
Usually no Christmas tree because
the Living Room is a bit crowded with one and I feel more attention
should be to worshiping Jesus not the tree. If you have a Christmas tree that is fine as long as your conscience is clear and you keep Jesus as the focus of Christmas.
Minister Rosemary (sometimes in e-mails and posts, I also refer to her as Sister Rosemary) my wife, usually helps me with decorating. This
year due to her neck surgery she is unable to assist with decorating.
Between that, my work, doing most of the house-keeping we have not
decorated much and probably won't. If our pre-teen granddaughter comes to
visit and stay with us for a few days before Christmas and if she is
willing to help with that then MAYBE we will decorate with lighs and
our miniature Christmas village. Since I started writing this (almost a week now)) I have set up a small nativity scene on a table in our Living Room. Since I wrote that last paragraph my wife Rosemary had me set up a few more lights (tonight).
Anyway,
every Christmas since I have become born-again back in 1975, my focus
is on Jesus. This year with no Christmas decorations most of this Christmas season and even now very few decorations (the
Nativity scene and only a few lights); my mind has been and is even more focused on Jesus of Christmas then
past years.
So Merry Christmas to all and to all a Blessed night. Hallelujah! Our Saviour, Jesus Christ, was born about 2000 years ago.

1. Introduction
It is very important to be thankful all year. This is the time of the year we are reminded the most to be thankful. Sister Rosemary and I are thankful for each of you and for Serve New England. If you volunteer at least 2 hours per month and live in New England then check out Serve New England. heir is more information about Seve NE in section 3 of this Newsletter. With Serve NE's permission I am including most of an article from their Newspaper titled: "A Time To Give Thanks" and some slight editing on my part. That is found in section 5.
On the Thanksgiving joke,
I forget where I found it but it just happened that it was told as Billy and my name is Bill.
If you want to make the joke cuter just use your son's, daughter's or grandchild's name.
2. Thanksgiving Humor
Baby Billy was sitting in his mother's kitchen, watching her prepare the Thanksgiving meal.
"What are you doing?" Billy asked. "Oh, I'm just stuffing the turkey," his mother replied. "That's cool!" Billy said. "Are you going to hang it next to the bear?"
"Serve New England is a program designed to promote volunteer service by offering deep discounts on the highest quality grocery, meat, and vegetable items to community-minded individuals willing to volunteer two hours of their time each month to a worthy cause. We have over 350 chapter sites located throughout the six New England states."
Sister Rosemary and I benefit from this program and many months purchase high-quality foods through this program that otherwise we would be unable to afford. In fact we got a turkey and most of the fixings that we will need for our Thanksgiving dinner through Serve New England.
4. Scripture
of Thanksgiving
and Praise
First Chronicles Chapter 16 34 O give thanks unto the LORD;
for he is good;
for his mercy endureth for ever. 35 And say ye,
Save us, O God of our salvation,
and gather us together,
and deliver us from the heathen,
that we may give thanks to thy holy name,
and glory in thy praise. 36 Blessed be the LORD God of Israel for ever and ever.
And all the people said,
Amen, and praised the LORD.
(All of 1 Chronicles chapter 16 is about thanking and praising the Lord so if you have time, it would be to your benefit to read the whole chapter)
Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ; Ephesians 5:20
We don’t say it often enough. “Thank you,” that is. In the busy, self-absorbed world we live in these days, it’s often hard to even recognize when someone else has gone out of their way for us, never mind to remember to acknowledge their effort with a thank you. Most of us try, of course, in a polite way, to say it when we’re supposed to. When we receive a gift on our birthday, for instance, or when the person across the table hands us the sugar. But most of the time, many of us sadly let pass by those opportunities to show real gratitude for the real things people do for us.
Which is unfortunate, to say the least. For when we say thank you, and really mean it, we’re not only properly awarding recognition and gratitude to someone that deserves it, but we’re also showing them that their efforts are both noticed and appreciated. Which feels good, for us as well as for them. It is often repeated, of course, that it is better to give than receive, but certainly how good would it feel to give and never have your gifts appreciated? And how good would it feel to receive and to never have the opportunity to respond in kind?
Not very, we suspect.
We hope, this season, that everyone takes the extra time to recognize and appropriately acknowledge the selfless acts performed on their behalf by the people in their lives. Whether it’s the friend that calls to check on you when you’ve missed a scheduled social event, the neighbor that retrieves your recycle bin from the street, the stock clerk
who helps you load groceries into your car, or the bank teller who cheerfully cashes your check, we ask that each of you pause for a moment, take stock of the real caring and thoughtfulness that this other person has shown you, and say thank you. And not just a quick, polite, perfunctory thank you… but a deep, heartfelt and meaningful one, where you look that other person in the eye, take their hand perhaps,
and say THANK YOU. We promise it will mean as much to you as it does to them.
And when you sit down to enjoy your Serve New England Holiday Food Basket this Thanksgiving, (as you sit down to enjoy your Thanksgiving dinner wherever it came from) pause to say grace, try to dispense with the typical, over-rehearsed version this year and opt for a table blessing that truly reflects the gratitude you feel for the people and things in your lives. We promise that the warmth expressed in your message will be felt by those around you, and that the reward experienced by all will have been well worth the extra effort.
We truly hope you enjoy your Thanksgiving holiday.
All of us at Pastor Bill's Newsletter also hope that you enjoy your Thanksgiving Holiday and that God has given you many reasons to be thankful to Him!

I hope you are having many blessings so it will be easy for you to be
thankful this season. Even if you are having trials and difficulties
then you still can be thankful.
You can be thankful that Jesus and the Holy Spirit are with you even
during hard times. Jesus said of His followers, He will never leave you
nor forsake you.
He said that He would be with you always. Jesus will never leave us and He will be with us always .
If you believe in Jesus that includes you! If not turn to Jesus in prayer, now.
Also, please remember my wife, Sister Rosemary in prayer. Besides older chronic health problems she has been diagnosed with bursitis, tendeniis and a degenerative disk in her neck. These conditions are causing pain in her right arm. The neurosurgeon has her schedulled for surgery to her neck on November 28.
The rest of this Newsletter is selections from much of last years
Thanksgiving edition. I did this in case I do not find time later this month, to send out a completely new edition for Thanksgiving.

I Introduction and
This is our Thanksgiving Edition.
Sister Rosalee Knox (my sister-in-law) was kind enough to write for us, this week's devotional on Thanksgiving.
Besides our natural freedoms we should be thankful for our freedom to worship Jesus, here in America. In many countries a person would be persecuted and sometimes even killed for worshiping Jesus. While we are being thankful let us remember our persecuted brothers and sisters in Christ with prayer for them. This week's devotional also prepares us for celebrating Christ's birth. Enjoy Sister Rosalee's devotional.
This edition also has some Turkey humor.
One more thing; Happy Thanksgiving from myself and the co-writers at Pastor Bill's Newsletter.

V Devotional
MY THANKSGIVING by Rosalee Knox
I came home from church Sunday evening and checked my email. My brother-in-law had emailed me. I have written a short story that he had printed in his Christian Newsletter. He asked me if I had anything on Thanksgiving or thankfulness. I replied that I hadn't anything at the moment and that I am thankful everyday, but I would pray about it and try to pick a special experience.
I fell asleep trying to think of sometime great to write about. I wanted what I wrote to bless the ones who would read it. Suddenly I woke up early in the morning. It was still dark. I thought I could read a poem. I thought of lines that rhymed like:
We pray when our life is in danger Do we thank God for the Child laid in the manger We pray for a brand new car Do we thank God for the Bethlehem star.
I thought, "Wait a minute, this is for Thanksgiving not Christmas." I prayed, "Lord, I want this the be something special." Then my mind wandered again to a story of THE LITTLEST ANGEL. The story of a little angel that wanted to give The Christ Child a gift. He decided to give him his box of his most treasured things. As the little angel stood in line with the other angels, they laughed at his "box of worthless junk." He felt embarrassed. He was next to present his gift. He bowed meekly and handed the box to God. "What's this?" God asked.
"It's my treasure chest" answered the Littlest Angel.
The Christ Child smiled. God blessed the gift the little angel gave and said, "This is the best gift, for it was given from your heart."
The treasure chest became the Star of Bethlehem. Then I thought, "Oh No! Back to Christmas again." "But it doesn't matter what I write as long as it comes from my heart!"
Then I became more focused. I thought of the Pilgrims. How the Indians showed them how to survive in the New World. They were God's "angels". I thought of the first Thanksgiving feast. I began to think how "angels" had come to my rescue all my life. How people helped my family in time of need.
I remember one of the first Thanksgivings my husband and I had. We had planned to have Thanksgiving by ourselves. Our first "real" Thanksgiving! Then he had got laid off from work two weeks before Thanksgiving. You know the saying "Last one hired, first one fired!" The Tuesday before Thanksgiving, we went grocery hopping. We had enough money for a box of crackers and a few cans of soups. We grabbed a cart as we went in the store. I notice a tag with a number on it tied to the handle of the cart. As we pushed the cart around the store we notice a basket filled with food.
Then we heard over the loud speaker that they were going to draw a number to win the basket of food. They called the number. My heart sank. It wasn't our number. We continued to shop. Then over the loud speaker they announced that no one claimed the number. So they called another number. My heart sank again. We walked around the store. Then over the loud speaker they announced that no one had claimed that number either. So they called another number. Well I scream, "We Won! We Won!" . I jumped up and down. You would have thought I had won the Irish Sweepstakes.
God had provided a Great Thanksgiving Feast for us!
We never know where our help may come from, but we DO know that God's hand is behind it.
REMEMBER: "Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. Quench not the Spirit, Despise not Prophesyings, Prove all things, hold fast that which is good. Abstain from all appearance of evil. And the very God of peace sanctify your whole spirit and soul unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ." {I Thessalonians 5:16-23}

I know I have not been regular in sending out my Newsletters so I am forwarding this story about the shoe man. You may have read it before as I have seen it in e-mails before. Just please remember this story the next time you see a new face in church regardless of her or his appearance. What we do to the least of the brethren, we are doing unto Jesus!
The reason I have not sent out a Newsletter lately is because of extra busyness due to the following. Sister Rosemary (my wife) usually helps me with my secular production at home work. Lately due to intense pain in her arm getting worse, she can not help me as much as usual which means I spend more time working to receive a smaller paycheck for us. So please pray for Sister Rosemary and also please pray for our finances.
There is an e-book that I read this past Sunday morning, (only 126 pages). I found it very interesting and challenging. It is called: "Mr. Contentment and your five wooden cups" and is found at: http://www.united4truth.com/book.htm This book you can read for free online or download if you have Adobe's Acrobat program. There are free versions of Acrobat on the net.
Until next time; Keep loving, serving and worshipping Jesus!

To Everybody at Pastor Bill's Newsletter: Happy Labor Day!
Since I did not have time to put together a special issue for Labor Day this is just to send greetings and prayers for a Happy Labor Day weekend.
But also attached is a few links to Gospel music videos and preaching videos I gathered from the net. For a few of them you need to visit my Yahoo 360 page.
I put them together for somebody who has to work on Sunday and wait at home for the phone call since he definitely has to work but his employer will not know what time until Sunday is here. I figured at least I could give him something spiritual to view and listen.
Anyways, they are good material for Sunday if you are not able to attend church in both morning and evening services. If you will be able to attend your regular Sunday services then this might be good material to look at and listen to, today, in order to help ready yourself for church service tomorrow. Much of it would also be of benefit to view again during the week.
Blessings and safety to you all for this Labor Day weekend.
Sincerely in Christ, internet Pastor Bill

"Dog Days of Summer" are upon us. Find out more about it in the link provided in the article. In the same article is information about a Lunar eclipse coming soon. Then comes the most important part of the Newsletter; Scripture and review of our Ezekiel Lessons.
Index 1. Dog Days of Summer 2. Scripture 3. Ezekiel Bible Study Review
1. Dog Days of Summer Well that time of year is here. Some think that the expression "Dog Days" is because the heat makes the dogs miserable and more lazy. (Dogs are smart enough not to overdo things on stifling hot days.) Most likely the expression comes from the star Sirius (the Dog star) which is at it's brightest around this time of year. For more information visit Wilkipedia.
Speaking of the stars; at the end of this month, Aug 28 there will be a lunar eclipse.
1:3 The word of the LORD came expressly unto Ezekiel the priest, the son of Buzi, in the land of the Chaldeans by the river Chebar; and the hand of the LORD was there upon him.
2:2 And the Spirit entered into me, when He spake unto me, and set me upon my feet, that I heard Him that spake unto me.
3:1 Moreover He said unto me, Son of man eat that thou findest; and eat this roll, and go speak unto the house of Israel.
3. Ezekiel Review. Because it has been a little while since we have done any lessons in our Ezekiel Bible Study; I thought we would do a summary review this month. That is one reason there are 3 verses in our Scripture section today.
Ezekiel was a priest in captivity in Babylon. Since priests were to do their priestly duties in regards to he temple and temple sacrifices, Ezekiel no longer was useful as a priest but God did not forget him while in this foreign strange land called Babylon. God began to speak to Ezekiel and suddenly Ezekiel became a prophet. (After a few visions of the Lord God almighty in all of His Holiness.) Ezekiel's name means God strengthens. Ezekiel needed the Holy Spirit to stand him back up after being overwhelmed by His first vision of God. Ezekiel would also need God's strengh to do the Lord's work because God told Ezekiel that the Israelites were going to be stubborn and refuse to listen but Ezekiel should preach what God said. Praise God we have the Holy Bible, the Word of God and the power of the Holy Spirit to back us up when we share the Good News of Jesus Christ. If you feel like you are lacking that power then study God's Word more and seek more of God's Holy Ghost. Read Acts chapters 1 and 2. The roll, the scroll Ezekiel was to eat had mournings and woes inside and out. This shows that Ezekiel was to make God's Word a part of himself and preach God's Word even though it is often time unpopular. I would like to end this review with a prayer similar to what was at the end of my last lesson on Ezekiel. It seems to me these are the kind of prayers that need to be prayed more often by Christians, churches, pastors, evangelists and all who desire to see God's light overcome the wickedness of our times. This prayer is only a suggestion. Those of you who are filled by the Holy Spirit and have already experiences in spiritual warfare will know what to pray. Please forward this message to your friends and family! Ok now for our closing prayer. Dear Heavenly Father, I pray that every reader of this lesson will heed to your Word, eat (absorb) your Word into their spirit and boldly proclaim your Word to those around them. I ask that by your Holy Spirit, you inspire those who read his lesson to go proclaim this message and all of your Word boldly. I also pray as this lesson is copied and forwarded that it will touch many hearts. Our Loving Heavenly Father, We pray for America. We pray that your anointing will come upon preachers, teachers, and all Christians; that as we live for you, we will be bolder through the power of the Holy Ghost to proclaim ALL of God's Word around us. Father, Please stir many up to be intercessors and proclaim what they hear from God before it is too late for our country, our society. Loving Father, We thank you that there is sill hope and that you will answerd us as we ask these hings in faith, trusting and believing in You. We pray all of this in Jesus Name. AMEN!

Policy information on e-mail settings.
In this group (Pastor Bill's Newsletter) all members are to have posts
set on "Individual E-mail".
It is important to have your setting on "Individual E-mail" because I
usually do our Newsletters in HTML format.
The Daily Digest setting would cause anything done in HTML to show up
blank so "Daily Digest" does not work for this group, which is how we
send out "Pastor Bill's Newsletter".
We usually send "Pastor Bill's Newsletter" out between once per two
months and a couple of times per month.
So it is not like on "Individual E-mail" setting your mailbox is
going to be flooded from this Newsletter.
It is not!
Finally, I like to make sure all who say they are interested in our
Newsletter receive it and "Individual E-mail" accomplishes that.
If you prefer to read our Newsletters on the web then just delete the

1. God Bless America poem
God
Bless America
GOD shed HIS blessings on us all... by
letting us live "Free". Other countries
live in fear... no freedoms do they see. Despite the many
problems that we must deal with every day...
We'll stand our ground together... and as... one Nation... pray;
Be with us LORD
in all we do... to protect ourselves from harm... Lest we forget
our enemies... and fail to sound alarm. Evil times
surround us... as our freedoms are encroached. Silent enemies
from within withdraw as they're approached. Seek them out for
all to see... lest our freedoms here be broached.
America was
founded on GODLY precepts in YOUR book. Many of us
realize... but some don't even look. Eroding rights we
fought to gain... are threatened once again. Regenerate our
hearts Dear LORD... this battle we must win. It's not too late
to change our ways... and dig in for this fight. Conform us
LORD... renew our love... help us to do what's right. AMERICA the
land I love... it's truly our delight.
2. Examples of God’s
Involvement in the USA (by (Steve Goodier)
History records
amazing coincidences in the lives of two of America's founders - Thomas
Jefferson and John Adams. You are aware that Jefferson labored for two weeks
writing the Declaration of Independence. He showed his drafts to Adams and
Benjamin Franklin, who edited it, honed Jefferson's ideas and refined the
document. When it was finally finished, he brought it before the Continental
Congress for approval. And America remembers her birth date, of course, as July
4, 1776.
Jefferson and
Adams spent the next 50 years debating ideas about how this new nation should
govern itself and what it should eventually become. Their administrations
argued philosophies and legislation. Sometimes the two men were contentious,
but later in life they seemed to develop more of an appreciation for each
other. Though they lived far apart, they faithfully corresponded.
Surprisingly
(and coincidentally), they both died the same day! Adams is said to have
uttered, just before he died, "Thomas Jefferson survives." He
couldn't have known that Jefferson himself died only a few hours earlier.
Do you know what
that day was? July 4 - Independence Day. Do you know what year? It was 1826,
exactly 50 years from the signing of the Declaration of Independence. And the
coincidences don't end there.
Couriers were
dispatched with the news of the great men's deaths. From Braintree,
Massachusetts the messenger with news about Adams traveled south. Jefferson's
messenger came north from Monticello, Virginia. Do you know where they met? In
Philadelphia ... under the shadow of the great hall where both men's lives were
so dramatically shaped, and where they labored to give birth to a nation.
Coincidence?
Perhaps. But historians of the day often attributed these coincidences to
providence - as a good omen for a new nation.
Our lives are
full of surprises and amazing coincidences, though we may not always take
notice. Whether or not we see the hand of providence in coincidence, life teems
with the remarkable.
Learn to notice
what others do not see, and you can expect to be surprised. Learn to notice
what others do not see, and what you see will amaze.
3. Indepedence & Freedom
John Chapter 8
31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him,
If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;
32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
33 They answered him,
We be Abraham's seed, and were never in bondage to any man:
how sayest thou, Ye shall be made free?
34 Jesus answered them,
Verily, verily, I say unto you,
Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.
35 And the servant abideth not in the house for ever:
but the Son abideth ever.
36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.
And the chief captain answered,
With a great sum obtained I this freedom.
And Paul said,
But I was free born.
Acts 22:28
Freedom still has a cost.
Natural freedom on earth costs sacrifice.
The sacrifice made by the troops serving in the military
and by extension made by their families.
Thank God for those who sacrifice for our freedom!
Thank God for freedom here in the USA!
Thank God for spiritual freedom through Christ all over the world.
Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free,
and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
Galatians 5:1
Jesus paid the price for our eternal spiritual freedom;
he paid with His life for the forgiveness of our sins.
He rose from the grave to prove He is God in the flesh
and has authority over death, hell, the grave and over sin.
Thank God Jesus paid that price for us all!
Thank God Jesus paid the price for the whole world! (John 3:16)

This is the best of both worlds in surfing for credits to advertise your website! A free member can advertise up to 5 websites in each mebership. If you do not duplicate any sites that is potentially advertising 20 sites FREE! Or you could advertise the same 5 sites in each program. Also,
if you do not have as many as 5 websites, you could advertise different
web-pages seperately to give your site more exposure. Each of these
traffic programs works the same way as one another. I have been using all 4 of them! Also, for those of you WHO DO NOT OWN WEBSITES; it can be an interesting way to randomly and quickly surf the net.

Spiritual food for thought:
From bumper stickers:
God said it.
I believe it.
That settles it!
God is my co-pilot.
I say:
about God is my co-pilot.
Wait in a minute is Jesus our Saviour, and friend
as well as our Lord and Master.
If so should'nt God be the pilot as the one in charge of our lifes and
everything we do ...... even our driving habits.
And then on the first saying i should say:
God said it.
That settles it!
Why do I think we should leave the middle part out som,e may ask?
Because whetehr I believe it or no whaever God said is settled so
because God said it that does settle it.
Too bad more people did not realize that about God's Word, the Holy Bible.
God said it in His Word so that settles it!
Amen!

We just had 2 new members sign up and join this group.
Welcome to you both!
New members for some of my more spiritual Newsletters
(most are more spiritual then this one)
go to my archives group for Pastor Bill's Newsletter which are at:

I have been very busy trying to make end's meet and have been teaching
a Bible study in another group.
Here is the link:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/TeachusYourWordLord/
I have been teaching Psalm 119 there and the owner of the group is
teaching on the doctrine of Christ.
Usually only one teachinga t a time is aught in that group.
So this is exceptional and a good time to join
Teach us Your Word Lord
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/TeachusYourWordLord/
On top of that I got a virus trusting somebody in chat and the
pictures links he told me to click on (first he claimed it was me and
then he claimed another link with the same virus was a vacation
picture of him.
Before my computer locked up, I did a search and found out any link
with the words thecoolpics.net in the URL is ALWAYS A VIRUS and/or
aWORM. Usually sent in an e-mail or through an IM message.
Also, as a worm sometimes it will send itself out to others in the
infected computers through their IM friends and through the infected
computers e-mail list.
I have not heard anything from any of my friends and family so I think
I stopped it in time by shutting my computer down until I had time to
get rid of it by reinstalling my whole computer system.
Most viruses and worms I can get rid of before they shut down my
computer but this one was extra stubborn.
So reinstalling my whole system erased everything including viruses,
worms, spyware and adware.
I thought I would share this as a I learned the hard way about
supposedly friendly strangers sending a link.
This person even claimed to be a pastor but I do not hold that against
pastors because I know many good, Godly pastors.
I had to reinstall my whole operaiong system without even being able
to back up newer stuff on my computer.
So stay awa from anything called thecoolpics.net
Often times there will be a slash woith another word after it like
/error or /vacation or whatever.
Even now I just got enough done to run my computer go on then internet
and of course have anti-virus as well as anti-spyware programs
installed on my computer.
Defender-Pro Anti-virus works good for me.
Also these 2 that are free I like a lot:
1. Spybot S & D (Spybot Search & Destroy)
2. Ad Aware
Both of these you should be able to find doing a search on them.
Oh and by the way since usually I send these in HTML
(it only shows up on Indivdual e-mail)

Since I did not have anything prepared for Father's Day and my brother Tom sent me this funny joke with an excellent mini-teaching on Fathers, I decided to share it woth you our subscribers.
Sincerely in Christ, internet Pastor Bill Mazzulla III
To: revbill3rd@..., Subject: Father’s Day 2007 Date: Sat, 16 Jun 2007 15:33:07 -0400
Father’s Day 2007
There were 3 fathers in the hospital waiting room.
A Nurse came out to tell the first father he has twins, he replied, "Amazing, I work for the Minnesota Twins".
5 minutes later another Nurse walked out a said the 2nd man, you have triplets."Amazing, I work for 3M".
The third gentleman fainted, when they revived him the asked him what happened. He said I work for 7-11.
I Thessalonians 2:7-12, Paul the apostle is writing to the church at Thessalonica. He was writing as a father figure. I know that our Heavenly Father is our perfect example of a father but as I look through this passage of scripture there is some very good insight that we as fathers can gain from Paul’s words.
7 But we were gentle among you, just as a nursing mother cherishes her own children. 8 So, affectionately longing for you, we were well pleased to impart to you not only the gospel of God, but also our own lives, because you had become dear to us. 9 For you remember, brethren, our labor and toil; for laboring night and day, that we might not be a burden to any of you, we preached to you the gospel of God. 10 You are witnesses, and God also, how devoutly and justly and blamelessly we behaved ourselves among you who believe; 11 as you know how we exhorted, and comforted, and charged every one of you, as a father does his own children, 12 that you would walk worthy of God who calls you into His own kingdom and glory.
Vs 7 Fathers be gentle to your children. Too often we think that we have to display this “hard and tough” outward appearance. Our children need to see that we as men can be gentle and understanding. How many of put on that “hard and tough” face when our child was born? No, we were gentle. We did not want to harm that child. That child may now be growing or grown but we need to be careful not to damage our children emotional trying to be tough. Our tough words and actions can do damage and create hardness in our children that will follow them through life.
Vs 8 Father give your children your life. I know we have busy schedule. There is work, the house, sports and all kinds of things that can keep us busy. But the time you give to your children, is an investment that will bring lifelong dividends. Children grow up fast and the time you can spend with them now will never come back.
Vs 9 Fathers let your children know that work is a good thing. We have gone to such extremes in this country that we have some children that believe that they are owed. Parent too often trying to make “happy children” give them everything they ask for. You are not a bad father for giving them things but you are also not a bas father if you say “No” or you make them work for what they want.
Vs 10 Father behave in a blameless matter in front of our children. We are not perfect. We make mistakes, when we do, let our children know that we are sorry and we made a mistake. Remember that your children look to you to gain insight what the Heavenly Father is like.
Vs 11 Fathers exhort comfort and direct your children.Exhort or encourage your children. Comfort them, too often men think that is the mom’s job. It will not make you less of a man, in fact it will make you more of a godly man if you soothe, console and ease the pain of your children. Direct your children in the way they should go.
Vs 12 finally, the most important thing you can do as fathers is walk worthy and humbly before Almighty God. Acknowledge him in your life in front of your children. A godly earthly father is the greatest gift you can give your children.

I. Announcements
Click here to vist Ezekiel 37 Bible Study blog and review previous lessons. or Click here to visit our archives and review. Their have been 6 previous lessons but previously I was labeling them only as "Ezekiel OverView," or "Part 2 of Chapter 1", or " More Comments on Chapter 1" etc. I realized to keep track of where we are it is best if I also number the Lessons, starting with the last Lesson on Ezekiel that edition was labeled Lesson 6. This Ezekiel edition is Lesson 7.
II Prayer Requests
Pray for Sister Rosemary and I for healing of our health problems. Also pray for us to have financial miracles. We would love to respond positively to some requests from native pastors in foreign countries and visit those countries as evangelistic missionaries but Minister Rosemary and myself (Pastor Bill) both need healing miracles in our bodies (chronic things - nothing life threatening) as well as to financial miracles that would cover our debts as well as covering travelling expenses to preach worldwide. Note: We have no bank loans and do not have any credit cards, neither do we plan on doing either of these.
III Scripture Reading: Ezekiel Chapter 2:8 - 3:4
8 But thou, son of man, hear what I say unto thee; Be not thou rebellious like that rebellious house: open thy mouth, and eat that I give thee. 9 And when I looked, behold, an hand was sent unto me; and, lo, a roll of a book was therein; 10 And he spread it before me; and it was written within and without: and there was written therein lamentations, and mourning, and woe.
3:1 Moreover he said unto me, Son of man, eat that thou findest; eat this roll, and go speak unto the house of Israel. 2 So I opened my mouth, and he caused me to eat that roll. 3 And he said unto me, Son of man, cause thy belly to eat, and fill thy bowels with this roll that I give thee. Then did I eat it; and it was in my mouth as honey for sweetness. 4 And he said unto me, Son of man, go, get thee unto the house of Israel, and speak with my words unto them.
III. [EzekielScrollTitle.gif] Study Lesson 7 Ezekiel 2:8 - 3:4
To review all of the lessons; you might want to visit our Ezekiel Bible Study blog. You may still post comments in our Back Issues Newsletter group.
As was stated in previous lessons; The Holy Spirit entered Ezekiel to give him the strength to stand in God's awesome, mighty, Holy Presence. The Holy Spirit will be helping Ezekiel to live up to his name "strength of God". Even in Ezekiel's initial calling which begins here in Ezekiel chapter 2 and continues into chapter 3. Rebellious is a theme in verses 2 through 8 of how the people of Israel are at this time and yet that is Ezekiel's commission to go preach to them anyway.
Now on to this lesson, Lesson #7 God tells Ezekiel to eat the scroll, the book that is filled with mournings and woe. John in Revelation (10:9-11) also ate a scroll given from God. It is one thing to speak about God and about His Word, it is another thing to proclaim the anointed Holy Word of God, popular or not! To proclaim an anointed Word that God has put on your heart is even more powerful then sharing a little from our head knowledge of God's Word. That is what Ezekiel and John both had to do. Proclaim the Word of God that became a part of them. No wonder Jeremiah, said he could not be quiet because God's Word burned within his soul. When you have an anointed Word from God, it will burn in your Spirit until you have to share what God is saying. If not behind the pulpit then in Sunday school, if not that then at a church supper, if now within church then share with your family, your co-workers, your neighbors as God leads, or even perhaps sahring through blogs and/or internet groups. Often times an anointed prophetic message needs to be shared again and again because it is a message for many in your church, in the church world. often, it is a message for many in your neighborhood, your town, your state or province even for many in your nation. God still needs anjointed prophets to speak out to trhe nations and the world as well as to the church world. Too many (thank God not all) have laid aside the porophetic ministry that are messages for the l;eaders of the church world and for leaders in their own towns, states and nations. Why? because often times many realize like Ezekiel in this chapter and Jeremiah weeping through his whole ministry, they might not be popular.
God's message through Ezekiel and many of His prophecies are going to be those of fire and brimstone, of repent or else and this to a rebellious people that most likely will mock Him for it. Yet Ezekiel is to eat all of it and then proclaim those warnings of God. Even in Revelation for John it hints at this. For both Ezekiel and John the scroll was sweet as honey. God's Word is sweet to believers and messewngers of God. However sometimes to proclaim the mournings and woes of judgement are "bitter to our stomach" because our human nature does not want to be rejected and because if we, the messenger of God, the prophet of God, have the heart oif God then we will weep over the people's rebellion like Jesus wept over Jerusalem for rejecting Him.
Notice: that He is to eat all of this scroll/book and notice that there "was written within and without mournings and woes. Two things: 1. We cannot heed and preach only part of God's Word BUT we need to take in, obey all and preach all of God's Word to be effective servants of God, especially in these Last Days. 2. The scroll/book was written within and without. There is no space to add our own ideas. No space to add our own words and /or traditions. If we try to add our own traditions and ideas to God's message then we end up "denying the power of God" and end up with only a powerless form (imitation of godliness).
The Holy Spirit strengthens and enables us to go beyond our abilities and even beyond our natural courage. The Apostle Peter denied our Lord Jesus 3 times yet after Peter was filled with the Holy Ghost he, Peter preached boldly to thousands.
I fear for America. Not an ungodly fear but a godly fear and concern for America! Some American Christians think of the rapture (the catching away of the saints) as an escape from the worst of the Last Days as an escape from persecution. But if America does not repent as a people and as a nation, America is headed for judgements worse then 9-11 and Hurricane Katrina combined. Here in America, Canada and Europe: murder of unborn children is rampant, killing of the elderly is gaining (usually under the guise of a nurse or doctor accidentally(?) overdosing, sometimes more blatantly claiming it is merciful. There was nothing merciful about the way Terri Schiavo was starved and dehydrated to death for 2 weeks. If our suppoosedly civilized courts think that is justice.... then God have mercy on us ALL! God's judegement is overdue! Then on top of that sinful perversions are so accepted that many public schools are teaching children as young as kindergarten that homosexuality/lesbianism, cross-dressing etc. are normal.
In fact there is legislation in progress in Washington DC that would make it a hate crime to believe or speak against homosexuality. If it passes, and I wrote a Newsletter like this one I could go to jail for saying homsexuality is sinful. Possibly in America there will be a wave of persecution before we are caught away in the air to be with Jesus. Possibly before the Great Tribulation starts. Jesus said blessed are you when you are persecuted for my righteousness sake. Those of us in the Western world have not yet seen real persecution like those who have been under Nazi rule, Communists regimes, ungodly dictatorships and under Muslim rule. Judgement is coming to America unless more Christians interceed for our nation. And when that judgement comes physical persecution with arrests and torture will come to the Christians from by then a clearly ungodly government.
The good news is if most Christians would start interceeding for America and for all Christian churches, if all Christians realized they are also ministers for Jesus Christ and received the boldness of God' s Holy Ghost to witness the hope of salvation which Christ offers to those who repent, to witness boldness to speak of the power of God to deliver from all sin including God's power to deliver from the bondage of all sexual sins, from drugs and alcohol then it would be possible to see a powerful Last Days Revival poured out by God's Holy Spirit. We need many iuntercessors for this. Every historical revival started with believers praying and interceeding.
Dear Heavenly Father, I pray that every reader of this lesson will heed to your word, eat (absorb) your Word into their Spirit and boldly proclaim your Word to those around them. Lord, God, I ask that by your Holy Spirit you inspire those who read this lesson to proclaim this message boldly and to forward this lesson to many of their family and friends. God, we pray for America, we pray that your anointing will come upon preachers teachers, ans all Christians that as we live for you we will be bolder through the power of the Holy Spirit to proclaim ALL of God's Word around us. God, please stir many up to be intercessors and proclaim what they hear from God before it is too late for us. Heavenly Father, we thank you that there is still hope and that you will answer us as we ask these things in faith, trusting anhd believing in you. We pray all of this in Jesus Name.

from the files of: Christianity Basics Source 1 a group owned by my internet friend: Brother Bill Stevenson aka Bible Lover Bill from Germany.
A thought just came to my mind: Remember reading in Exodus that the blood of the Passover lamb which protected the Jewish people from the Angel of Death. The Jewish Passover celebration is of course still in the week before Easter Sunday. And during the special Sunday, Christians and others will be celebrating the Resurrection of the Lamb of God Whose shed blood saves all, Jew and Gentile, who trust in Him. I never put the two together in that way at this time.

1 Corinthians 15 1 And now let me remind you [since it seems to have escaped you], brethren, of the Gospel (the glad tidings of salvation) which I proclaimed to you, which you welcomed {and} accepted and upon which your faith rests, 2 And by which you are saved, if you hold fast {and} keep firmly what I preached to you, unless you believed at first without effect {and} all for nothing. 3 For I passed on to you first of all what I also had received, that Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One) died for our sins in accordance with [what] the Scriptures [foretold], 4 That He was buried, that He arose on the third day as the Scriptures foretold, 5 And [also] that He appeared to Cephas (Peter), then to the Twelve. 6 Then later He showed Himself to more than five hundred brethren at one time, the majority of whom are still alive, but some have fallen asleep [in death]. 12 But now if Christ (the Messiah) is preached as raised from the dead, how is it that some of you say that there is no resurrection of the dead? 13 But if there is no resurrection of the dead, then Christ has not risen; 14 And if Christ has not risen, then our preaching is in vain [it amounts to nothing] and your faith is devoid of truth {and} is fruitless (without effect, empty, imaginary, and unfounded). 15 We are even discovered to be misrepresenting God, for we testified of Him that He raised Christ, Whom He did not raise in case it is true that the dead are not raised. 16 For if the dead are not raised, then Christ has not been raised; 17 And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is mere delusion [futile, fruitless], and you are still in your sins [under the control and penalty of sin]; 18 And further, those who have died in [spiritual fellowship and union with] Christ have perished (are lost)! 19 If we who are [abiding] in Christ have hope only in this life {and} that is all, then we are of all people most miserable {and} to be pitied. 20 But the fact is that Christ (the Messiah) has been raised from the dead, and He became the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep [in death]. 21 For since [it was] through a man that death [came into the world, it is] also through a Man that the resurrection of the dead [has come]. 22 For just as [because of their union of nature] in Adam all people die, so also [by virtue of their union of nature] shall all in Christ be made alive. 23 But each in his own rank {and} turn: Christ (the Messiah) [is] the firstfruits, then those who are Christ's [own will be resurrected] at His coming. 24 After that comes the end (the completion), when He delivers over the kingdom to God the Father after rendering inoperative {and} abolishing every [other] rule and every authority and power. 25 For [Christ] must be King {and} reign until He has put all [His] enemies under His feet. 26 The last enemy to be subdued {and} abolished is death.
51 Take notice! I tell you a mystery (a secret truth, an event decreed by the hidden purpose or counsel of God). We shall not all fall asleep [in death], but we shall all be changed (transformed) 52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the [sound of the] last trumpet call. For a trumpet will sound, and the dead [in Christ] will be raised imperishable (free and immune from decay), and we shall be changed (transformed). 53 For this perishable [part of us] must put on the imperishable [nature], and this mortal [part of us, this nature that is capable of dying] must put on immortality (freedom from death). 54 And when this perishable puts on the imperishable and this that was capable of dying puts on freedom from death, then shall be fulfilled the Scripture that says, Death is swallowed up (utterly vanquished forever) in {and} unto victory. 55 O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting? 56 Now sin is the sting of death, and sin exercises its power [upon the soul] through [the abuse of] the Law. 57 But thanks be to God, Who gives us the victory [making us conquerors] through our Lord Jesus Christ. 58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be firm (steadfast), immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord [always being superior, excelling, doing more than enough in the service of the Lord], knowing {and} being continually aware that your labor in the Lord is not futile [it is never wasted or to no purpose].
Ephesians 1 17 [For I always pray to] the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, that He may grant you a spirit of wisdom and revelation [of insight into mysteries and secrets] in the [deep and intimate] knowledge of Him, 18 By having the eyes of your heart flooded with light, so that you can know {and} understand the hope to which He has called you, and how rich is His glorious inheritance in the saints (His set-apart ones), 19 And [so that you can know and understand] what is the immeasurable {and} unlimited {and} surpassing greatness of His power in {and} for us who believe, as demonstrated in the working of His mighty strength, 20 Which He exerted in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His [own] right hand in the heavenly [places], 21 Far above all rule and authority and power and dominion and every name that is named [above every title that can be conferred], not only in this age {and} in this world, but also in the age {and} the world which are to come. 22 And He has put all things under His feet and has appointed Him the universal and supreme Head of the church [a headship exercised throughout the church], 23 Which is His body, the fullness of Him Who fills all in all [for in that body lives the full measure of Him Who makes everything complete, and Who fills everything everywhere with Himself].
Ephesians 2 4 But God--so rich is He in His mercy! Because of {and} in order to satisfy the great {and} wonderful {and} intense love with which He loved us, 5 Even when we were dead (slain) by [our own] shortcomings {and} trespasses, He made us alive together in fellowship {and} in union with Christ; [He gave us the very life of Christ Himself, the same new life with which He quickened Him, for] it is by grace (His favor and mercy which you did not deserve) that you are saved (delivered from judgment and made partakers of Christ's salvation). 6 And He raised us up together with Him and made us sit down together [giving us joint seating with Him] in the heavenly sphere [by virtue of our being] in Christ Jesus (the Messiah, the Anointed One). 7 He did this that He might clearly demonstrate through the ages to come the immeasurable (limitless, surpassing) riches of His free grace (His unmerited favor) in [His] kindness {and} goodness of heart toward us in Christ Jesus. 8 For it is by free grace (God's unmerited favor) that you are saved (delivered from judgment {and} made partakers of Christ's salvation) through [your] faith. And this [salvation] is not of yourselves [of your own doing, it came not through your own striving], but it is the gift of God; 9 Not because of works [not the fulfillment of the Law's demands], lest any man should boast. [It is not the result of what anyone can possibly do, so no one can pride himself in it or take glory to himself.] 10 For we are God's [own] handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live].
Now what do you think is a good way to go against worrying and personal depression? How can this information of resurrection help?
Resurrection thinking should not be one Sunday a year. Every time I die to self, I feel revived and even resurrected to doing the Great Commission usually via my Internet ministries. Every time, I have crucified a bad habit of mine, I have felt as if I have been raised out of something that doesn't please God. Can you identify with such?

I pastor Bill would like to suggest that the last 2 paragraphs of the above article be discussion subjects for the next week or two in our Back Issues group. I will make the discussion questions in a seperate post in our Back Issues group.
We here in Maine got hit by a heavy "Spring Snow-storm". It was one of the largest snow storms of this winter season, even though it was actually in the spring. I once again remembered, that the scriptures tell us, that "though our sins are scarlet as blood, He (Jesus) washes us and makes us whiter(cleaner) then a new-fallen snow". Isaiah 1:18 (my paraphrase)
WOW! A new fallen snow makes everything look fresh and new. Even the dead trees have a new though temporary beauty. And once the sun comes; out a field covered in a new snowfall then sparkles like a field of nature's diamonds. WOW. God cleanses us by Jesus blood and makes us as clean as the whitest thing in earth.
I cannnot think of anything whiter then snow, here on earth. Clothing, animal furs, paint, the clouds. Nothing else is so white that it sparkles in the sun. Only snow. And to think when our sins are as guilty blood, Jesus (when we repent and trust in His Blood), makes us as clean and as white as the new fallen snow. That is the love and mercy of God.
PS Diamonds and jewelry sparkle in light but they are not the color white. Diamonds are a symbol of perfection but that is another devotional.

Today is Palm Sunday. Palm Sunday is a time when of Christ's triumphal entry. This was not to last long. Within a week Jesus would be betrayed and crucified.
Though it was a horrible thing Jesus Christ went through at the Cross if it was not for Christ's Cross and resurrection, we would hae no hope. Thank God for Jesus Christ's obedience to our Heavenly Father at the Cross. Thank God for the resurrection which is yet another proof of of Jesus power as God to forgive us of our sins.
Pator/Evangelist Earl wrote an excellent sermon on Palm Sunday about Jesus and Palm Sunday which he posted in OLBC, the Online Bible Church. I am moderator/overseer there and I chose to forward his sermon to our Newsletter readers.

Palm Sunday - JESUS WAS WEEPING!
Luke 19:28-19:44
I wish simply to remind you of a familiar story from the Bible. It
began early Sunday morning as Jesus was walking toward Jerusalem.
Jesus stops for a moment & sends 2 of his disciples ahead of Him into
a nearby village to carry out a special errand. Here is how Luke
records that event:
"As He approached Bethphage & Bethany at the hill called the Mount of
Olives, He sent two of His disciples, saying to them, `Go to the
village ahead of you, & as you enter it, you will find a colt tied
there, which no one has ever ridden. Untie it & bring it here. If
anyone asks you, `Why are you untying it?' tell him, `The Lord needs
it.'" [Luke 19:28b-31]
A. The 2 disciples must have wondered about what Jesus told them to
do, because none of the Gospel accounts about the ministry of Christ
ever mention Him riding any animal to get from one place to another.
He must have walked hundreds of miles up & down the land we now call
the "Holy Land," but there is no mention of Him ever riding, except
in a boat across the Sea of Galilee.
But now, He gives this unusual command to go into the village to get
a colt that had never been ridden, & to bring it to Him. It must have
seemed a strange command, indeed.
He even tells them the exact words they are to use should anyone
question them. They are to say, "The Lord needs it." Was this
prearranged? Did the owners know what Jesus was going to do? We don't
know.
B. It is obvious, though, that Jesus knew what He was going to face
in the city of Jerusalem. So His decision to go into Jerusalem must
have been one of the most difficult Jesus ever made.
And on top of that, to ride into the city on a colt, rather than to
walk into it as He had often done before, must have been an even more
difficult decision, because riding a colt into the city was a public
declaration that He was a King.
ILL. You see, in times of war the conqueror would ride upon a
prancing stallion. But in times of peace, the king would ride a colt
to symbolize that peace prevailed. So, for Jesus to ride into
Jerusalem upon a colt is to declare that He is a King.
I. HOW WOULD THE PEOPLE RESPOND TO THAT?
How would the people respond to that? Would they recognize that His
Kingdom was not of this world - that it was a spiritual kingdom, & He
was to be a spiritual King? Small chance, because He had been
teaching them that for 3 1/2 years, & still they had not learned that
lesson.
A. Perhaps some of them would greet Him with laughter. Maybe they
would be amused by what Jesus was doing. After all, it was a rather
ridiculous picture. Here is a carpenter declaring Himself to be a
King!
Perhaps some would think, "He is a lunatic, living in a world of
fantasy - imagining Himself to be a King!" And they would laugh at
him.
B. Others would greet Him with anger - upset because they would
interpret His riding into the city as arrogance & blasphemy against
God.
C. Of course, many would hail Him with joy, welcoming Him as an
earthly King, come to reestablish the throne of David, & overthrow
the Roman Empire. They were ready & eager to place a crown upon His
head.
D. Among the crowds would be people He had healed. Some had been
among the thousands He had fed. Many more had seen some of His
miracles, & listened as "He spoke with authority." They had listened,
& their lives had been changed.
Jesus knew all of this. He knew that just over the horizon was the
cross, looming like a monster ready to consume Him. But Luke tells us
that in spite of it all, Jesus still "...set His face steadfastly to
go to Jerusalem."
II. JESUS RIDES TOWARD THE GATES OF THE CITY
As Jesus rides down toward the gate of the city, the crowds are
growing, & there is a festive air, for it is Passover & pilgrims are
gathering from far & near for this greatest of all Jewish holidays.
A. Even before Jesus arrives, the news has spread that Jesus had
raised Lazarus from the dead. You can imagine the excitement that
prevails.
"Have you heard the news? Lazarus died, & was buried in a tomb so
long that his body was starting to decay. But this teacher from
Nazareth called, `Lazarus, come forth' & Lazarus came forth. I saw
him! They stripped away the grave clothing, & he actually walked &
breathed & lived again! Surely only the Messiah - only the Son of God
could do that!"
The news travels from one person to another, until finally when Jesus
was ready to enter the city, great crowds had collected on both sides
of the road. They were there! They had cut palm branches & were
shouting, "Hosanna to the king!" Excitement prevailed throughout the
whole city!
B. Then Jesus looked over His waiting audience. He must have seen the
mixture of expressions on their faces.
1. There were those who loved Him: Perhaps Bartimaeus was there, a
man who had received his sight, no longer in his beggar's rags. How
about Zacchaeus? He had paid back his debt to society, & had made his
peace with God. And the lepers? Their skin had been cleansed & now
they were rejoicing for the healing that the Lord had given them.
ILL. Maybe Jairus' daughter was there - back to life again after
experiencing death. Lazarus & Mary & Martha & Mary Magdalene - they
were all there! Their lives reflected the love that was in their
hearts for this man who had taught them, & molded them & changed them.
2. There were also sinister faces there. Faces with squinty eyes,
waiting for Him to say one wrong word - to make one mistake.
ILL. The Sadducees & Pharisees were there. They were supposed to be
keepers of the law, the spiritual leaders. But Jesus had gained so
much popularity that they felt threatened. So, full of jealousy, they
watched Him.
ILL. The Romans were there, fearing revolt & watching for any sign of
rebellion against Rome. They were ready & waiting to crush any
uprising.
Jesus realized, as He listened to their "Hosannas," that soon the
sinister voices would drown out the voices of love - that those
crying for Him to be King would soon be crying, "Crucify Him!" or
simply standing aside, saying nothing at all.
C. Now Jesus is descending along the road from the Mt. of Olives,
across the brook, toward the gate, the crowds thronging around Him.
I wonder how the apostles were reacting to all of this? I have always
thought that Judas was probably ecstatic - basking in the reflected
glory - because Judas may have wanted an earthly Kingdom more than
any of the others.
ILL. I imagine that Peter walked with chest expanded -enjoying the
throngs & the cheers of the crowd - maybe with one hand on his sword
just in case something went wrong - thinking to himself, "Maybe it
was worth it to leave the fishnets & boats. Maybe at last we are
going to get what we deserve."
ILL. Possibly there was Thomas, a bit skeptical about everything that
was going on - wondering what is going to happen next.
ILL. Maybe Andrew was overwhelmed by it all. He was so used to
bringing people to Jesus one by one, or in small groups - & now look
at them all!
ILL. What about James & John? Do you suppose they were thinking about
Jesus being crowned King - so that they could be on His right & left
hand in positions of authority & power?
They were all there in Jerusalem - loving faces - sinister faces -
anxious apostles. Crowds trampling almost one upon another - when
suddenly - the whole procession stopped.
III. SUDDENLY THE WHOLE PROCESSION STOPPED
ILL. Do you suppose it could have been a little like rush hour
traffic on the big city expressway? One car stops, then all the other
cars stop, like a chain reaction. I can just hear the people way back
in the crowd that day saying, "What's the holdup? What is going on?
Why don't you guys move on?"
A. But the people who were closest to Jesus could see - & they
realized that it was He who had stopped the parade. Then they saw His
body begin to shake. Maybe at first they thought He was laughing.
Laughter would seem to be natural - for everybody else was laughing,
& joy prevailed.
But then they saw His face, & they saw no evidence of laughter.
Rather, they saw sorrow & tears. He was not laughing. He was crying.
B. The Scripture tells us that Jesus reacted emotionally many times
from different scenes that He saw. When He saw the poor. When He saw
the hungry. When He saw people sinning. When He saw the ill. The
Scriptures say repeatedly that "...He had compassion on them."
But it only tells us of two times that Jesus cried. One time He cried
at the grave of Lazarus. You remember, Mary & Martha were both
weeping, & it says that Jesus wept with them. He wept for them. He
entered into their grief with compassion & He identified with their
sorrow & despair.
IV. WHY WAS JESUS CRYING?
This was the 2nd occasion. He looked at the city of Jerusalem. He saw
the mixture of faces & the masses of humanity crowding there - & He
realized the emptiness of their lives. They had not heard the message
of peace. They did not understand the purpose of His coming.
Listen as I read Luke 19:41-44. "As He approached Jerusalem & saw the
city, He wept over it & said, `If you, even you, had only known on
this day what would bring you peace - but now it is hidden from your
eyes. The days will come upon you when your enemies will build an
embankment against you & encircle you & hem you in on every side.
They will dash you to the ground, you & the children within your
walls. They will not leave one stone on another, because you did not
recognize the time of God's coming to you.'"
They had eyes, but they didn't see. They had ears, but they didn't
hear. They missed the whole point of the message that God had given
to them.
A. The fact they waved palm branches showed that they didn't
understand, because that is exactly what they did when the Maccabees
overthrew the Syrian oppressors & reestablished worship in the
temple.
By waving palm branches they were showing that they expected Jesus to
be another warlord - another general of the armies - one who would
lead them to overthrow the Romans. They were saying that they were
ready to pick up their swords & shields & go to war if He would lead
them!
B. Jesus said, "I didn't come for that purpose. I came to show you a
more excellent way. I came to show you the way of love." He had
said, "Love your enemies & pray for those who persecute you. If
someone smites you on the cheek, turn to him the other also. If
someone wants your coat, give him your shirt as well. If they command
you to carry their pack a mile, go two."
Those people who listened to Him must have thought, "Well, those are
beautiful words, but surely He doesn't mean Rome? He doesn't expect
us to love Rome? Only a lunatic would command you to love Rome. We
can't love Rome!"
But don't you see - that was exactly what He was saying? "Love even
Rome - because Rome with her mighty army has seen the power of the
sword. But Rome has not seen the power of love. Show them love!"
C. The nation of Israel had the opportunity to show Rome something
new & different. But because they didn't understand Jesus - because
they completely misunderstood His mission - Jesus wept over them
because the opportunity would be taken away & they would never have
it again.
These were God's people - God's chosen people. God had loved them &
led them across the wilderness & into the Promised Land. But they did
not understand the Messiah when He walked in their midst. Because of
that, Jesus wept.
D. What a contrast! As He sits upon the beast of burden, He sees the
towering Temple of God silhouetted against the sky. But beyond that -
in the years immediately ahead - He sees the armies of Titus
surrounding the Holy City. He sees Temple stones being taken down &
the whole city leveled.
He sees bodies in the streets & blood running in the gutters &
hundreds of thousands of people crying because they are starving to
death while Titus waits for Jerusalem to surrender.
All of that because they didn't recognize the Messiah when He came!
How different their lives could have been. How different the history
of Israel could have been if they had only recognized the one who
came into their midst, riding on a colt.
It is Matthew who adds that as Jesus looked at the city He said, "O
Jerusalem, Jerusalem. How often would I have gathered you together as
a hen gathers her chicks beneath her wings. But you would not come."
Today, just like the city of Jerusalem, we find ourselves in the
presence of Jesus. I wonder what He finds when He looks into our
faces?
Does He see people concerned about so many things - worried about
income taxes - worried about job security - worried about their
health, or lack of it? Does He see people who are so busy doing
things here & there - so busy that they never bother to consider
those things that are eternally important?
Does he see people who recognize Him for who He is? The Messiah, the
Christ, the Son of God?
When He turns & looks into our lives, I wonder, will He weep once
again because of what He sees? Or will we have the joy that passes
all understanding as we respond to His outstretched arms & hear Him
say, "Well done, good & faithful servant. Enter thou into the joy of
thy Lord"?
This did not seem to go through to Pastor Bill's Newsletter and readers as it should have, so I am sending it out again now.

There are some serious lessons from St. Patirck's life, like (though he is not Irish) he was willing to be a slave amongst the Irish in order to reach them with the Good News of Jesus Christ. That is living a sacrificial life!
Then the legend that he chased all the snakes out of Ireland. If true that is a miracle. But maybe the truth is that St. Patirck defeated the Serpent, the devil, i
n an island filled with Pagan Celtic and devilish traditions.
Sad to say some of those ungodly traditions are back even stronger, not just in Ireland but also in our society; like beliefs in Leprauchans and the belief 4-leaf clovers being more special then 3-leaf clovers. The fact that they are more rare then 3-leaf clovers is their only specialness.
Anyway, the good from St. patrick's life and some Pagan traditions that are used to celebrate it; I will leave for others to dig in deeper about.
If you members would like to discuss St. Patrick's life and traditions used to celebrate St. Patrick's Day in our Back Issues Newsletter group then that would be wonderful!

Kiss me.. I'M IRISH! Ok, I confess Larson is not Irish.. it is Norwegian. But today is St. Patrick's Day and so everyone gets to use this line. Then again my wife is not fond of me getting kisses from anyone besides her or my mom. So everyone else keep your distance please. Now that I have cleared all that up.. it still is KISS ME.. I'M IRISH day in the Back Pew. I guess I could look on the internet, and find the origins of this clever phrase.. but I don't need to. I have proof that the origins of Kiss Me I'm Irish can be found way back in the very beginning as just another excuse to gain affection from the fairer sex. But Adam was not the only Bible fella who used that line. I am sure with 700 wives King Solomon used that line a time or two. Other possible Kiss Me I'm Irish Bible moments may have been a frustrated Potiphar's wife to a uncooperative Joseph until he finally fled from this Old Testament desperate housewife. The Song of Solomon could be rewritten as a nice little Irish ditty for a couple partaking in the traditional Cabbage & Corned Beef Irish Aphrodisiac meal of choice. But for those you not under the influence of Cabbage and Corned Beef.. be warned.. you are on your own.. - A kiss fora guy named Chet? Maybe, maybe not. - A kissfor a guy name Harold? I don't think so. - A kiss for a guy with a TV remote? This guy is a true thrill seeker.
May your St Paddy's Day be filled with the Luck of the Irish, and... blessed and used by the one true God of Israel in ways that are beyond your dreams.
Pastor/Evangelist Earl's sermon on the resurrection is a needed teaching in these Last Days where the skeptics are spreading their ignorance with atrocious claims of having found Jesus Christ's body.
I like every believer knows where Jesus is. Jesus is in my heart spiritually and by my faith in Him. Jesus physical body being transformed at the moment of resurrection is now in Heaven, sitting at the right hand of our Heavenly Father making intercession for us. Glory of glories! God who would have condemned our sin, but in His mercy took our place and died for our sins, is now in Heaven praying for us. WOW! We serve an Awesome GOD!
This is an important enough subject that I sent it to most all of my Christian groups, including to the subscribers of Pastor Bill's Newsletter. Subscribers just consider this in place of this week's Newsletter.
Those of you who are in more then one of our groups, please forgive me for you seeing this e-mail so many times, it is just that I enthusiastically support the importance and reality of Jesus Christ's Resurection. Jesus Christ's Resurrection is a Biblical reality!

Thank you Pastor Earl.
Such teaching needs to be proclaimed everywhere. Especially with vain men (James Cameron) who think they found the tomb and body of Jesus Christ. Impossible! There were over 500 witnesses that saw the resurrected Jesus Christ. They even saw Him ascend into Heaven so NO WAY is Jesus body in some tomb. so I appreciate your timing on posting teaching on the resurrection.
I will be forwarding this to some of my other groups.

From: "Earl Adams" <germantownwriters@yahoo.com> To: OLBC@yahoogroups.com Subject: [OLBC] WHY I BELIEVE JESUS ROSE FROM THE DEAD Date: Sun, 04 Mar 2007 20:22:05 -0000
Eight Reasons Why I Believe That Jesus Rose from the Dead
1. Jesus himself testified to his coming resurrection from the dead.
Jesus spoke openly about what would happen to him: crucifixion and
then resurrection from the dead. "The Son of Man must suffer many
things and be rejected by the elders and the chief priests and the
scribes and be killed, and after three days rise again" (Mark 8:31;
see also Matthew 17:22; Luke 9:22). Those who consider the
resurrection of Christ unbelievable will probably say that Jesus was
deluded or (more likely) that the early church put these statements
in his mouth to make him teach the falsehood that they themselves
conceived. But those who read the Gospels and come to the considered
conviction that the one who speaks so compellingly through these
witnesses is not the figment of foolish imagination will be
unsatisfied with this effort to explain away Jesus' own testimony to
his resurrection from the dead.
This is especially true in view of the fact that the words which
predict the resurrection are not only the simple straightforward
words quoted above, but also the very oblique and indirect words
which are far less likely to be the simple invention of deluded
disciples. For example, two separate witnesses testify in two very
different ways to Jesus' statement during his lifetime that if his
enemies destroyed the temple (of his body), he would build it again
in three days (John 2:19; Mark 14:58; cf. Matthew 26:61). He also
spoke illusively of the "sign of Jonah"three days in the heart of
the earth (Matthew 12:39; 16:4). And he hinted at it again in Matthew
21:42"The very stone which the builders rejected has become the head
of the corner." On top of his own witness to the coming resurrection,
his accusers said that this was part of Jesus' claim: "Sir, we
remember how that impostor said, while he was still alive, `After
three days I will rise'" (Matthew 27:63).
Our first evidence of the resurrection, therefore, is that Jesus
himself spoke of it. The breadth and nature of the sayings make it
unlikely that a deluded church made these up. And the character of
Jesus himself, revealed in these witnesses, has not been judged by
most people to be a lunatic or a deceiver.
2. The tomb was empty on Easter.
The earliest documents claim this: "When they went in they did not
find the body of the Lord Jesus" (Luke 24:3). And the enemies of
Jesus confirmed it by claiming that the disciples had stolen the body
(Matthew 28:13). The dead body of Jesus could not be found. There are
four possible ways to account for this.
2.1 His foes stole the body. If they did (and they never claimed to
have done so), they surely would have produced the body to stop the
successful spread of the Christian faith in the very city where the
crucifixion occurred. But they could not produce it.
2.2 His friends stole the body. This was an early rumor (Matthew
28:11-15). Is it probable? Could they have overcome the guards at the
tomb? More important, would they have begun to preach with such
authority that Jesus was raised, knowing that he was not? Would they
have risked their lives and accepted beatings for something they knew
was a fraud?
2.3 Jesus was not dead, but only unconscious when they laid him in
the tomb. He awoke, removed the stone, overcame the soldiers, and
vanished from history after a few meetings with his disciples in
which he convinced them he was risen from the dead. Even the foes of
Jesus did not try this line. He was obviously dead. The Romans saw to
that. The stone could not be moved by one man from within who had
just been stabbed in the side by a spear and spent six hours nailed
to a cross.
2.4 God raised Jesus from the dead. This is what he said would
happen. It is what the disciples said did happen. But as long as
there is a remote possibility of explaining the resurrection
naturalistically, modern people say we should not jump to a
supernatural explanation. Is this reasonable? I don't think so. Of
course, we don't want to be gullible. But neither do we want to
reject the truth just because it's strange. We need to be aware that
our commitments at this point are much affected by our preferences
either for the state of affairs that would arise from the truth of
the resurrection, or for the state of affairs that would arise from
the falsehood of the resurrection. If the message of Jesus has opened
you to the reality of God and the need of forgiveness, for example,
then anti-supernatural dogma might lose its power over your mind.
Could it be that this openness is not prejudice for the resurrection,
but freedom from prejudice against it?
3. The disciples were almost immediately transformed from men who
were hopeless and fearful after the crucifixion (Luke 24:21, John
20:19) into men who were confident and bold witnesses of the
resurrection (Acts 2:24, 3:15, 4:2).
Their explanation of this change was that they had seen the risen
Christ and had been authorized to be his witnesses (Acts 2:32). The
most popular competing explanation is that their confidence was owing
to hallucinations. There are numerous problems with such a notion.
The disciples were not gullible, but level-headed skeptics both
before and after the resurrection. (Mark 9:32, Luke 24:11, John 20:8-
9, 25). Moreover, is the deep and noble teaching of those who
witnessed the risen Christ the stuff of which hallucinations are
made? What about Paul's great letter to the Romans? I personally find
it hard to think of this giant intellect and deeply transparent soul
as deluded or deceptive, and he claimed to have seen the risen
Christ.
4. Paul claimed that, not only had he seen the risen Christ, but that
500 others had seen him also, and many were still alive when he made
this public claim.
"Then he appeared to more than five hundred brothers at one time,
most of whom are still alive, though some have fallen asleep" (1
Corinthians 15:6). What makes this so relevant is that this was
written to Greeks who were skeptical of such claims when many of
these witnesses were still alive. So it was a risky claim if it could
be disproved by a little firsthand research.
5. The sheer existence of a thriving, empire-conquering early
Christian church supports the truth of the resurrection claim.
The church spread on the power of the testimony that Jesus was raised
from the dead and that God had thus made him both Lord and Christ
(Acts 2:36). The Lordship of Christ over all nations is based on his
victory over death. This is the message that spread all over the
world. Its power to cross cultures and create one new people of God
was a strong testimony of its truth.
6. The Apostle Paul's conversion supports the truth of the
resurrection.
He argues to a partially unsympathetic audience in Galatians 1:11-17
that his gospel comes from the risen Jesus Christ, not from men. His
argument is that before his Damascus Road experience when he saw the
risen Jesus, he was violently opposed to the Christian faith (Acts
9:1). But now, to everyone's astonishment, he is risking his life for
the gospel (Acts 9:24-25). His explanation: The risen Jesus appeared
to him and authorized him to spearhead the Gentile mission (Acts
26:15-18). Can we credit such a testimony? This leads to the next
argument.
7. The New Testament witnesses do not bear the stamp of dupes or
deceivers.
How do you credit a witness? How do you decide whether to believe a
person's testimony? The decision to give credence to a person's
testimony is not the same as completing a mathematical equation. The
certainty is of a different kind, yet can be just as firm (I trust my
wife's testimony that she is faithful). When a witness is dead, we
can base our judgment of him only on the content of his writings and
the testimonies of others about him. How do Peter and John and
Matthew and Paul stack up?
In my judgment (and at this point we can live authentically only by
our own judgmentLuke 12:57), these men's writings do not read like
the works of gullible, easily deceived or deceiving men. Their
insights into human nature are profound. Their personal commitment is
sober and carefully stated. Their teachings are coherent and do not
look like the invention of unstable men. The moral and spiritual
standard is high. And the lives of these men are totally devoted to
the truth and to the honor of God.
8. There is a self-authenticating glory in the gospel of Christ's
death and resurrection as narrated by the biblical witnesses.
The New Testament teaches that God sent the Holy Spirit to glorify
Jesus as the Son of God. Jesus said, "When the Spirit of truth comes,
he will guide you into all the truth.... He will glorify me" (John
16:13). The Holy Spirit does not do this by telling us that Jesus
rose from the dead. He does it by opening our eyes to see the self-
authenticating glory of Christ in the narrative of his life and death
and resurrection. He enables us to see Jesus as he really was, so
that he is irresistibly true and beautiful. The apostle stated the
problem of our blindness and the solution like this: "The god of this
world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from
seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the
image of God.... For God, who said, `Let light shine out of
darkness,' has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge
of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ" (2 Corinthians 4:4,
6).
A saving knowledge of Christ crucified and risen is not the mere
result of right reasoning about historical facts. It is the result of
spiritual illumination to see those facts for what they really are: a
revelation of the truth and glory of God in the face of Christwho is
the same yesterday today and forever.

1. Scripture Reading
First Thessalonians Chapter 3 10 For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat. 11 For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies.
But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel. 1 Timothy 5:8
2. Prayer Requests
Please pray for 2 of our grandchildren, Christopher 18 and Kristie 14. Chris has addiction problems and it seems that he is influencing his sister to start to hang around with the wrong crowd. So please pray for both of them to be saved.
Pray for Minister Rosemary and myself, Pastor Bill, as it seems that we have less time to ourselves and for ministry and yet we had the lowest income earning period for the last 3 weeks in many months. Pray for us not to be so tired and to be able to accomplish our working tasks quicker so that we will be earning more income. Hopefully I will get back on schedule and be able to prepare more devotionals as well as to continue our study on Ezekiel.

I think that was not clear in one thing. Chris & Kristie were very young when Ricky passed away back on Dec.31, 1999. At this time, this past week that Diane, their Mom passed away Christopher is 18 and Kristie is 14. Anyway they both need prayer and so does thier mother's side of the family.

Thank you on the compliment on my website. My first website, Ezekiel 37 Bible Watch is not Geocities but it did have a page builder. It did not always work so eventually I began to learn HTML. Our Geocities websites, like Minister Rosmeary's "A Blossoming Rose Garden" is Geocities but I did it all from scratch using HTML. Eventually I purchase a book called "HTML for Dummies" and I still do not know everything in that book.
Towards the end of this e-mail is a prayer request for 2 of our grandchildren. After that is our photo.
Here is a brief biography put together in a hurry. Feel free to edit and use what you feel is best.
I was born in Danbury CT 1955. I attended Faith School of Theology, Charelston Maine from 1979 to 1982. It was a 3 year program so I graduated 1982. I was given minister credentials through FST before I graduated because I had already begun to be active in ministry,. That summer I met Sister Rosemary. She was a single parent because years before when she repented of her sin her boyfriend would not marry her.
Not long after graduating FST, I was ordained at Jubilee Revivals, Gardiner Maine, my home church at that time. Iwas ordained through Faith School of Theolgy by Rev. R.K. Pier, the president/founder of FST.
I moved around for a bit and married Rosmeary 1985. Sister Rosemary had 4 children, 3 boys and the youngest was a girl. I did my best ot help raise her children who by then were 10 years old and up. I did not have any children except Rosemary's children through marraige.
Sister Rosmeary's middle son, committed suicide at the age of 30, New year's Eve1999. We found out Ne Year's Day 200. It was difficult but Jesus helped us through it. There is a web-page we did in Ricky's memory and as a warning to others about the danger of drugs and alcohol.
Late summer/early spring of 2004 knowing nothing about creating a website, the Holy Spirit led me to start my first website Ezekiel 37 Bible Watch. The following November, November 2004, we started our first Christian chat group, Ezekiel 37 Bible Watch Prayer Warriors.
Currently Sister Rosmeary and I have our papers through North American Ministerial Association of which our Pastor is president of. I have ordination papers through NAMA and Rosemary has Licensed papers through them.
Often times when I refer to my wife in posts and/or e-mails or when I type for her I sign Minister Rosemary to give her some recognition even though she would never use a title herself.. But without her prayers and support I would have never been able to even start our internet ministry which almost 3 years ago, I had no idea how it would expand in such a short time.
PRAYER REQUEST:
A very personal prayer request to add. Ricky had left a girlfriend, Diane and two children behind, Christopher 18 and Kristie about 13 or 14. This Tuesday morning Christopher who is on his own found his Diane, Mom in her bed and she had already passed away. Kristie went off to school earlier that morning thinking Mom was just passed out and she most likely was already dead. Kristie is young to have lost both parents and therefore needs prayer. Chris is the one who found his mother, has been to rehab but is still doing drugs and alcohol and is court-ordered to go to rehab sometime in February. So please pray for both to be saved and for Chris to be delivered of everything. The family (Diane's parents and sisters) had Diane cremated and there is going to be a service this week, Feb. 8, at 11 AM. We do not know what Diane's spiritual condition was (most likely not good) when she passed and most of her family is not saved so also pray for salvation of that side of our family.
Here is a picture of my wife Minster Rosemary and myself, internet Pastor Bill. It is the most recent photo I have myself and was taken sometime within the last 2 years.
