Wow, thank you!. It looks like you've found a couple
of jems. Thanks a bunch! We would be interested in the
Notebook 5C pages you mentioned if it isn't too much
trouble. Thanks again for your help, we really

Dear Ed and Ruth,
I´ve found a great bibliographical resource for you
Dickey, Sandra F., 1964, Bibliography for a
historical review of knotless netting in South
America. MA thesus, UC Berkeley. I found this by
way of the Net and even got to a four page copy of a
pamphlet that listed D´Harcourt 1934/62, Mary
Elizabeth King, a number of textsof Junius Bird and
others. Will keep looking. My offer still stands
about scanning the appropriate pages of Notebook 5C,
which gives a local pointof view.
Karen.

Dear Ed and Ruth,
It´s me again with the website address of the Ancient
textiles.... . www.lu.se/klass/textiles/index.html.
My abstract, somewhat different in letter but not in
spirit from the actual article, which relies more
heavily reproductions of the poster and accompanying
texts, is in the abstract section titled textiles in
cross disciplinary contexts. I thought that you might
find of interest some of the scandinavian
presentations, which had to do with technical aspects
of the production of textiles involved in sailing.
If you have any other questions, feel free to
ask.............
Karen.
Dear Ed and Ruth,
The history of Andean textiles is particularly rich
in non-loom techniques. But, a comparison of dates
spontaneously questions the categories of New and Old.
New and old to whom? - as I´ve pointed out in my
article for the Ancient textiles..... publication of
the event of the same name (now in the editing
process).
