tell me hw to save the contents of the running program ,is thr any
commands in perl ,i hv tried using the command "system",but iam able to
store only the output of the program ,but ia want to store the entire
content that appears in exectuable window.

... I'm not sure what an hd install is, but if you installed ActivePerl then all the documentation is in HTML files on your disk. Try opening a browser window...

I think localtime does so, you may also try DateTime on CPAN http://search.cpan.org/~drolsky/DateTime-0.35/lib/DateTime.pm If this solves the problem do reply...
