Hi,

I'm Andy Schafer and I'm new here. I am working on building a website
and have learned HTML, Javascript, and Perl. Now I am working on
learning CGI and I went to install the Apache personal web server on
my computer but could not get it up and running. So then I decided
that I would just use my current free host, Angelfire, to test my
scripts but found out that they don't support Perl/CGI for the free
accounts.

I was wondering if anyone could give me any suggestions for how to run
my scripts on my computer or a "sandbox" type site on the net that I
could use to test scripts for free. My only other alternative is to
set up the paid host I plan to use and do all my testing there but I
really don't want to start paying for my hosting service until I have
learned enough to get my site running.

Thanks in advance for your help,
Andy

Andy, I'd recommend that you: 1) Download and install the Apache webserver on your PC from http://httpd.apache.org/download.cgi. This is a free program. 2)...
