Jay,
I'm glad you were able to revive the camera with instructions given
to me by an anonymous friend who deserves most of the credit for
figuring out what was wrong with it and repaired it, and he was
generous enough to let me share the repair technique with the 850
community. My revived camera is being used as a back-up camera to my
FZ30 that I bought, and is still going strong after the repair, even
though its usage went from heavy to light.
