Well, it looks as though you are back in business again, Andy. That's good. The
world can use another forum for Player Pianos, I feel. I will try to help you
out again whenever time permits and I am able to. It is a good thing to have a
digest in which topics may be discussed in depth and with vigor when often,
there are more than one point of view and strong opinions on the subject. You
don't care if feelings get hurt sometimes, as long as the truth comes out, so if
the discussion doesn't get into the flaming category and facts are presented,
the reader can make up their own mind.

In the art and science of rebuilding, a full, unimpeded discussion is often more
important than any other single factor, to my mind. Here, the reader is able to
trust the fact that this newsletter will not stop a technical disagreement for
fear of personal flaming. We have already shown what happens, and how those
fears are not justified because you will stop publishing anyone who breaks the
rule, and if I am not mistaken, you have already had to do that. And now, we
have an archive, which is necessary if anyone is to retrieve past subjects.
Congratulations. I think you may have something here. These subjects tend to be
both taken lightly, and greatly misinterpreted at times, as well as these
letters themselves-- so when questions arise, they need to be addressed.

I have always said that "How To" books will lead one right down a blind alley.
It is the "How Not To, and Why" books which are seldom published, that cause the
reader to understand what he's doing. This forum, therefore should fall into
that category sooner or later. Just keep with it. It might be slow in coming,
but the philosophy should prove its worth.
