Re: 6V Dome With only 6 strut lengths!?!? Possible? don't know?

Hi Alan

From what I see, there are 9 different triangles for the 5f triacon at
the domeclimber.com link. How many are there for Pete's 6f dome? There
must be a formula.

Hey all, I have been working on a 6v geodesic dome design that requires only six strut lengths. (Based on the icosahedron) Using this theory; any frequency...

Hello Allen, and all, Thank you for the website, Interesting. I have built a model of a 6v geodesic dome with 9 strut lengths (in 1987). Now I have built a 6v...

Is it possible? Sure. But you wouldn't be able to call it a geodesic dome, strictly speaking. It's amazing how even the slightest deviations become readily...

Harold, It sounds like your 6 strut design combines pairs of the 9-strut design that are similar in length. Since the differences are slight, with a model...
