My little guy (who is 7) is once again asking questions mom can't answer. He
has been watching "Flatland" and is once again seeking to understand the 4th
dimension,,,and asking about if there are other dimensions, etc.
I would love to know if you have any reading recommendations for us! He's read
Alan Holden's books and while he does not understand all of it...he certain
takes a great deal away from it and it makes him ask more questions. ;-) And
his all-time favorite is Daud Sutton's Platonic and Archimedean solids.
He has chosen the following book...
The Visual Guide to Extra Dimensions: Volume 1: Visualizing the Fourth
Dimension, Higher-Dimensional Polytopes, and Curved Hypersurfaces - Chris
McMullen
as well as volume 2...
Do you have an opinion on this set or have any other books that you think might
help us?
My little guy is passionate about Platonic and Archimedean solids as well as
geometry in general...Loves Zome and polydron sets as well as gumdrops and
toothpicks!
He is asking questions about string theory and how that relates to dimensions...
And suggestions would be greatly welcome!
Thanks!
