This is a mailing list to discuss C/C++ programming issues. The primary motive of this mailing-list is knowledge sharing. You can help others and obtain help from others.

Please read "Mailing list guidelines" before posting your question. Following the guidelines will enable us to help you better. Abusing new-comers based on technical weakness is not acceptable behaviour on this mailing list. Beginners and newbies please feel free to ask questions., but make sure you aread the "Mailing list guidelines" atleast once.

Job advertisements are welcome on this mailing list. But please prepend a '[commercial]' tag to your subject line. Acceptable technical topics which are not directly related to C/C++ should have a '[ot]' tag prepended to the subject line.
Eg:
[commercial] Wanted ASP/PHP programmers
[ot] panic in linux kernel module

Un-necessary advertising will be strictly moderated. If you want to advertise your site, do so in your signature. Spammers keep away.

Instead of using char *c, define it as string c. Try using the data type string instead of a pointer to char. Good Luck
