I've been interested in this work for quite a while but am just now
getting back to it. I live near Philly and am a hypnotist and into
Wellness via EFT and Reiki and energy therapies in general. I've done
some at-a-distance work with Astral Projection and the like (Monroe
Institute) with some positive results.

A couple of years ago I built a small manteum using a mirror, about
2' x 2'. I sat on a pillow on the floor in a room with a very low
wattage, shielded, light. I had looked into the mirror, which was
several feet away, for about 15 minutes, when I felt a presence
behind my left shoulder. I HAD to look and when I turned there was a
figure standing there dressed in a monk's robe with a cowl over its
head. I could not see its face.I asked who it was but it did not
speak to me. I thought that if this was the grim reaper I would
already be dead. So we continued to hang out in silence for several
minutes, then it vanished. Was I surprised? You bet. Was I scared?
Well, maybe a little.

I noticed in the Files section that Kyle has placed a number of
hypnosis references. Though not absolutely necessary, I think that
many of those techniques could be useful in mantic studies.This group
hasn't been very active of late but maybe some of the old timers will
come on board and share their wisdom.
