You addressed your posting to Phil but used my message. I've done the
same thing over the years but, in case you wanted my input, here it
is. Phil will likely message you, too(?). At any rate, I don't have
all that much experience with building a manteum or using one, for
that mater. I have read a lot of stuff about it on the web. There is
an article in this group toward the beginning of the postings. But, I
haven't read all of them yet. And, of course, you want to see Moody's
books. Astral Projection is neat. I have tried some of the tapes out
of the Monroe Institute. It's pretty cool, but you do (or at least I)
have to practice to get results. That's where hypnosis comes in
handy. Go to a hypnotist and ask to have a Post Hypnotic Suggestion
installed.It can get you into 'state' very quickly. But, if you are
the patient sort it isn't absolutely essential. I'm talking about all
kinds of psychic phenomena here and not just mantic work.
Some time ago there were a couple of people actually selling
prefabbed manteums.

My limited experience is that these things do work but it pays to go
slowly.
