Description
The two great pillars of twentieth-century physics are Einstein’s theory of General Relativity (GR) and the theory of quantum mechanics (QM). Despite the tremendous successes of these two theories, they have resisted numerous attempts, by many brilliant people, to be unified into a single consistent whole. While GR and QM are not quite contradictory, their relationship has been described as, at best, one of "peaceful coexistence."
It is only a matter of time before GR and QM are replaced by a single, consistent, and coherent theory that goes beyond "peaceful coexistence." The failures of the past do not necessitate failures forever. In fact, many of the great scientific revolutions of the past were based on theories that could easily have been developed decades before they actually were - Special Relativity (SR) being just one such example. This group is dedicated to the serious-minded exploration of proposals for the unification of GR and QM into a single, consistent, and coherent theory.
Members realize that the first goal of any proposed unification must be to reproduce standard QM and GR, perhaps as approximations. It is hoped, however, that any new theory will also lead to new predictions -- new physics -- by which it may be tested. Although any serious proposal will be entertained, we are especially interested in the recent work by Dr. Mark J. Hadley, who offers a reasonable framework for the derivation of QM from GR.

The Logic of Quantum Mechanics Derived From Classical General Relativity: Foundations of Physics Letters Vol 10, No.1, (1997) 43-60.
