as-salamu alaykom,
Since you are going to use LPPL license for this work, please have a
look at this page:
http://www.latex-project.org/lppl/
I had a look on the package files, I found that the .sty & .fd files
mention the following: "See the file LICENSE for licensing details."
Yet the .mf files do not mention this.
Also there is no LICENSE file yet !
Also when talking with one of the Debian sponsors, he said this:
"when people refer to external files for license details, they often
screw up... that's probably the main reason to include the license in
every source file, or atleast explicitly mention which license it is
if it has a common name.... if the license is long it would not be
very nice to include it in every single file of the project, so
always including it wouldn't be a good recomendation.... it only
works for short licenses like MIT X11 or BSD...."
So, according to this, it is *recommended* to have something like
this in each file of the work:
"This work may be distributed and/or modified under the
conditions of the LaTeX Project Public License, either version 1.3
of this license or (at your option) any later version.
The latest version of this license is in
http://www.latex-project.org/lppl.txt
and version 1.3 or later is part of all distributions of LaTeX
version 2005/12/01 or later."
And also include a copy of the license in a file called LICENSE (for
case that someone for some reason does not have internet).
Please don't forget to send me the long description for AlQalam
package.
Here's the short description I put for AlQalam:
"Qur'an typesetting macros for TeX/LaTeX"
