Hi Steve,
Like I said before...the internet has never been and
was never intended to be a "closed" communication
device. I have nothing to hide. If someone wants to
find me, it would be easier if they just look up my
name or address or SS number. I can find the GPS
picture of my house, my phone number, my address, my
tax information and the town in which I live just from
phone company information sharing on the net. And, I
did not give that information out.
I am paranoid enough with my "triggers". I do not need
to create irrational beliefs that someone is or could
be out to get me by intercepting a email or a forum
post.
I have been a "real" victim of identity theft (we got
all of our money back) and the computer was not used
by the perpetrators to obtain my information. They
just looked up my address in the phone book and
submitted an address change to have my mail forwarded
to their house. In other words, danger surrounds us.
If I caught my therapist discussing my case on this
forum, I would appreciate the effort he is putting
forth to help me resolve my conflicts. I have never
seen a post (in my limited experience) where a
client's name was mentioned. There are only so many
"issues" out there and it would be nearly impossible
to say that "you" are the one being discussed. I know
for a fact that I am not the only CSA/PTSD client my
therapist has ever had.
thanks,
vicky
ps: I think the loss
of the past postings
is very sad. Afterall,
why do you join a "group".
