After making the buttons all repeating, it seems like getting it to
work it just a matter of holding the button down long enough. Which
completely messes up my testing methodology of mapping which OBC's
"work" to the point that all results from that are useless and I need
a new methodology. :(
So, scratch the interesting OBCs I found earlier because they were
based on a flawed testing methodology. To continue I'll need to get
ahold of a second PDA to reconstruct the "original" signal where I can
actually see what is going on (vs the black box point at camera until
it works approach).
I think sometime next week I *might* be able to meet up with a friend
who has a PDA, but I won't be anywhere near my computer to update my
OBC list on location so this will go very slowly.
Oh well, at least if I can figure it out this way it would be better
than the uncertainty in when/what the camera will do while the
photographer sits there holding down the single "Do Something"
button...maybe it should be big and green and say "Don't Panic" with a
nice smiley face? :p
Thanks for the help so far. I hope to keep working on this, although
a 2nd PDA or something to see/compare the signal is definately needed
to continue...
