I opened this program on my computer and figured, okay, it'll be like
omniremote, but i'll just have to manually enter the ir codes or
something maybe, like prontoedit, but it'll actually work with the
clie's enhanced ir. and then i'm confronted with "device type," (which
doesn't even have sat's or cable boxes in the lookup) and "protocol,"
(which doesn't even have my maker in the lookup)
and "device/subdevice." (which is entirely unintelligible to me).

wtf? :confused: i'm not even 100% clear on what these things even are
(though i have read the readme), much less how to find out what the
heck the values should be for my particular devices. i can understand
like in omniremote, you push the button, and all those hex codes like,
correspond to pulses in the ir beam. but this rmcenhancer is totally
foreign to me.

is there like, a user-friendly walkthrough of setting up a definition
for like somebody's cable box that i could follow along with and set
up my own?
