This group has been helpful in the past, some will
still be using their Clie's for the remote feature so
I would vote to have the site remain for archival
purposes.

Actually what is the point of closing the group?

Is it a lack of participation or something more?

I have a quandary currently that some of you may be able to assist with.

I have a Polaroid PDV-0700 and have lost the remote control for it. I own
a Clie NZ90 and am sorta familiar with RMC. What are techniques you have
found useful in getting it to work with newer equipment.

Thanks,

Jason,
Adding my two cents; I never got going on using the
remote so I would concur with disbanding the group.

Hey everybody,

There are 2146 members of this group as of today. The RMC Enhancer
group is not getting any activity. Just a quick reminder -- I added
the group so that you, the users of the group, could build your own
skins, and could add your own definitions. I am in the un-enviable
position of no longer owning an RMC compatible device. Over a year
ago, something happened to my 615 which destablized it. I can be
running a program when it suddenly crashes, loses all of its
contents and goes dead. I thought it might just be the battery, but
after finding the same behavior happened when it was on the cradle,
I have ruled out the battery. It also happened when I had not
resynced any data or programs back in, ruling out a software
glitch. It looks to me like a memory or processor problem. The
result of all this is that I can do no further research for the
individual remote codes. I was hoping somebody would champion the
group and become the skin / code creator. Unfortunately nobody has
stepped up to the task.

So I am going to recommend to future group joiners to consider the
alternatives (Novii Remote, Omni Remote, Perfect Remote, or you can
go the path I went -- a UEI/All in one remote with a JP1 connector
to make it hackable).

I am also curious if anybody is interested in having this group
persist for archival purposes, or if anybody wants me to upload the
source code to RMC Enhancer. If there continues to be no interest,
then I see no reason for continuing the group and I will remove it.

Thanks for your time.

PS - For those who were set to receive no email, I have changed your
settings to receive special notices so that you would see this
message. I do not typically send out special notices, but as this
has to do with the demise of the group, I felt it was important
enough to get your input on it as well. Feel free to change your
settings back to no email.

I just purchased my Clie 2 days ago and found RMC and used it right
away. I've always had people remark on how many remote controls I
have for everything in my room, Stereo, DVD, VCR, TV, & Cable.
Right now I have my Clie and the Cable TV controller. As doing my
search on here for some reason controlling a General Instruments CBL
box is impossible.

If that would work, I'd be controller free and just use my clie.

Great job on all the info on here, I'm going to tweak my AV
definition so I can tune in stations on my Stereo.

Thanks,
Darren (Tech-D)

Unfortunatly, you have to delete them one at a time, but here's how

    1. Launch Clie RMC
    2. tap select
    3. tap the entry you want to delete, it will be opened
    4. tap the Menu soft button
    5. select Details... from the options menu
    6. tap Delete...
    7. tap OK

Hape that helps

Select the unwanted entry, open main menu, select details, tap the delete
button.

I just got a Sony Clie NX73V. There were already 4 different things
programmed into it- a couple tv's, a vcr, and dvd (I bought the clie
used) I entered one of my own TV's (yeah! It works!) and while
trying to figure out how to use it accidently programmed ANOTHER
nonexistent tv. There are 6 things listed now and I only use one. Is
there any way to delete the other ones? I have been fooling around
with it, doing web searches, reading the manual over and over. I
can't figure it out :( Anyone know what I'm saying and how to clean
it up?

Greetings. I recently moved and of course, temporarily misplaced my
remote control. Then I realize that I have the RMC on my clie. I
have never used the RMCE before, and in fact, am still befuddled as
to how to use it. However, Clie RMC does not support a Zenith TV.
If I am not mistaken, the RMCE program will allow me to program a
zenith TV control into the RMC? And if so, how do I go about doing
this?

Thanks!

Just to add my name to the list. I also own Marantz equipment and
would love to be able to use it with my NX70.
