Since we upgrade telescopes, we can as well start with a Big RR Achromat and add the tube, focusser, strong mount, etc to it. The Rainpipe Refractor project chooses a quality Achromat, combined with a quality, but low-budget OTA assembly. This Group will be a communication between all users, testers and interested astronomers of RR Achromats. The RR Achromats are a new line of high quality lenses available for Europe since March 2001. Development and investigation for optimal telescope results are active. This group stimulates every amateur (also with 2 left hands) to make his/her own Refractor.
