Are you a techie looking to apply your skills to something fun for a

MediaUnbound is a digital music company located in Cambridge seeking an
experienced software engineer to join our development team. Working with a
small group, you will be responsible for building and rolling out
real-time intelligent systems tasked with recommending music for some of
the world's largest online services. As an engineer for a profitable,
growing company in the digital media industry you will contribute to a
major revolution in the way people experience entertainment.

Our ideal candidates:
* know how to structure, optimize, and maintain databases (the majors)
* have mastered java, perl, c/c++
* have worked on production-level code in a commercial environment
* know their way around a *nix-based platform
* know their way around a server rack
* have experience working with large datasets, data mining, and
statistical algorithms
* like music and like talking to/being around others who really like music
* are comfortable working independently and in small teams

As one of our elite software engineers you will:
* Help plan and develop core software technology
* Manage aspects of our hardware infrastructure
* Tie together computer software with the work of a global music analysis
team
* Work closely with our client integration team managing releases and
customizing APIs
* Have the opportunity to work on the cutting-edge of developments in
clustering, network mapping, tagging/folksonomies, social networking, and
recommendations technologies.
