Dear Research_Practice Network Members,
Our eGroup has increased to 132 members. Welcome to the new members! As you
know, our journal is produced and hosted on the Web by ICAAP (
http://www.icaap.org/). Certain organisational and technological changes are
underway at ICAAP. Their Web site already announces some of these changes.
Please see this letter from Kathy, ICAAP Administrator, which clarifies the
situation and explains why there has been a delay in uploading the PDFs for JRP,
1(1).

Re. Changes at ICAAP and Pending Work for JRP
Hello,
Yes, it has been awhile since our last communication. Things have been quite
busy around here. Aside from us working towards implementing a new "editorial
management system" for ICAAP, our office has been moved to a new location
(today). I am in the middle of boxes and "looking for misplaced items". I am
sure it will sort itself out soon.
The new system we are hoping to use for our journals is very promising. It will
provide editors with an entire system that will collect papers, distribute them
for review, collect reviews, and publish the articles in their journal issues.
Right now, we are waiting on the developers to provide us with a way to bring in
back issues. We can setup a new journal quite quickly and editors can begin
publishing almost immediately. However, the system was originally developed for
new journals, not for existing journals with past issues. I was told last week
that it would be a couple months yet before this feature would be ready. Until
then, we will still be using our current conversion system. Did you have a
chance to look at the new system at: http://www.pkp.ubc.ca/ojs/
Let me know if there is any other information you require and I will try to
provide answers for you.
Thanks,
Kathy

INTERESTING ARTICLES
I have found some interesting articles on the Web, very much related to the type
of exploration we would like to promote in the pages of JRP. I would like to
mention the following articles that delve into the changing institutional
context of research, need for renewing research thinking and research practice,
and experiments in research education in fields such as art and design.

appropriate for our times.
