Hello to all!
As Guest Editor for the upcoming special issue
on Students' Reflections on Doing Research, I'm
pleased to update you on our progress. Out of 102
proposals, 12 were selected for inclusion in the
special issue. First drafts of all 12 manuscripts
were uploaded to the journal website and are now
ready for peer review.
For this process, I will assign three reviewers
to each manuscript. I will be one, and the authors
of the manuscripts will serve as 2nd reviewer for
a manuscript other than their own. I would like to
request your assistance serving as 3rd reviewers.
I'm hoping to get 12 volunteers, so each only has
to review one manuscript. Once I have the full list
of volunteers I will assign everyone and you will
get the e-mail notifying you of which one that is.
I'm hoping to get all reviews back by Sunday, 05
November 2006 so the authors have two months to
revise their manuscripts based on your suggestions.
Final manuscripts are due 31 December 2006 from the
authors.
I will send the reviewers a series of questions
specific to this issue for you to consider while
reading the manuscripts.
If you are able and willing to review one manuscript
within the next month for the special issue, please
contact me via e-mail at earleym@... so I can
begin assigning reviewers to manuscripts. Thank you
in advance for your support of this issue! It looks
to be a very good one based on the drafts I've read
so far.
