I'm ready to put my Robomower in deep storage for the winter and I'd like to get
it off the floor to free up garage space. Has anyone used a hook and mounted
the nose to the garage wall? Or does anyone have other suggestions besides
building a shed?

A rope just in front of the drive wheels up through the wheel wells and
down through the handle tie the ends together and hang.

Looks like the mower is only $175.... Anyone heard of this product?

New batteries for my RL500 (which are almost dead) almost cost this much.

Ben, I tried that link in IE, AOL and a couple other web browsers and
it worked. Might be your computer.

It is $175 now, plus $575 when they ship it to you for a total of $749. I think
that must
be 25% off the suggested price of $1K.

It's $175 down payment on a pre-order. $575 when it ships.

When I first saw it I thought $175!!? I was going to get on just for kicks
until I found out it's a down payment.

I'm glad more companies are working on robo-mowers. I think it's a great
idea and the more companies making it the better and cheaper they will get.

I have no doubt that I may have messed up the link. It's a common theme in my
life :)

Thanks..

I'm glad to see more competition in this space. I still think there is a big
market for a low-cost competitor. It's sad that it takes a
Woot-Liquidation-Sell-Off to double the user base.

I like the last video "adjusting the blades" LOL.. For the time it
takes to just adjust their blades, I could have my RL1000s blades
off, sharpened and back on the mower.. LOL

And if you look real close, or Pause the Vid at the end, you will
see that he never put the first blade Back On! (empty sprocket)
Middle one was probably never touched. But we're not supposed to
notice that...

Also how easy is it going to be to hold the blade from turning while
using an allen wrench after a build up of crud from the grass or
dirt. Hard as you know what!
That's why I use an air impact gun to loosen the blades on my lawn
tractor.

I read the manual. One oif the blades has a left-handed screw. I bet it turns
the other way too. I wonder if there is just one blade motor and a belt drive...

Need a replacement on my 2005 RL1000.
It won't edge. When it comes off the dock it goes around the dock to
start edging but then just turns in and starts mowing. It mows fine.
Anyone one have a 2009 board in stock?

Sounds like it may only be in the programing. On the schedule program,
do you have it set for "mow + edge"? The way you describe it, sounds
like it's only set to Mow.. Give that a try..

I don't currently have it on a schedule. I just press the GO button.
It's currently wintering in the garage. Once the weather warms up and
the grass is growing again I'll send it out and report back.

I have been just using spray-on silicone for the last 3 years and that
seems to work fine. On occassion when we check the bottom, any dried
grass just peels off in a thin layer.
Or will just drop off when the mower first starts out of the docking
station.

PAM is a type of vegetable oil, isn't it? It'll go rancid eventually.
ewww....

I've used silicone spray lube. Actually I've found it's not as helpful
as I dreamed. With a few hours of runtime (and one mowing cycle takes
longer than that) it seems to have managed to wipe that stuff off
completely and gone back to sticking.

With or without silicone, once that stuff is left to dry for like a week
in low humidity conditions it cakes right off. Part of the drying
process makes it shrink as it cakes up and it pulls itself right off the
blade wells.

The silicone was sort of helpful, but I just gave up using it
eventually. It probably made it more efficient for awhile though until
it got wiped off by the grass flow.

I've been mowing for a few weeks now. Not as often as I'll need to mow when
it really starts growing but it's already started.

I don't currently have it on a schedule. I just press the GO button.
It's currently wintering in the garage. Once the weather warms up and
the grass is growing again I'll send it out and report back.

Hi all,

I'm a new comer here. I'm Jerry from China.

I have many years of experiences in battery industry, if you have any question
or problem on your batteris, pls feel free to ask and I'd like to offer positive
suggestions for you.

Is there anyone using LiFePO4 battery for the machine? This new generation
battery is capable of fast charge within 30 minutes and is smaller and lighter
than lead or nickel batteries. It's no explostion and neither will it fire.

Best regards,
Jerry Yue

Hi All, I approved Jerry-batteryman to group even though he does not
have a robomower, but with all the problems and issues we have had with
batteries, I thought maybe just maybe we can find a solution to our
battery wooes.

Jerry seems like a good resource for our group. I will be looking to re-battery
my rl550 this spring.

Oh... Where is spring!?!
