Does anyone have a couple of tires for a 550? Or, do you know where I can buy
them at a reasonable price.

Thinking about the lawn already. The season comes early here in Florida.

Snow is interesting stuff. It comes in an amazing variety of types and
consistencies. Some is so light that a stock Robomower would blow it off
the driveway. Other snow is nearly as thick and sticky as mud, and clogs
up almost anything you try to use to remove it. So, I don't have a clue
what kind of machine it would take to reliably handle it.

Living in Minnesota, I'd love to find some automated way to remove the
blasted stuff (besides the AFL-CIA method -- Adult Feels Lazy, Calls
Idle Offspring).

Easy enough.

Put a snow shovel in the back of your car.

Fill up your tank.

Put your compass on “S” and drive until you need gas.

When you stop for gas, carry the snow shovel inside to pay.

If anybody present knows what you’re carrying, repeat from “Put your
compass on “S”…”

I asked my wife to set the battery and send the mower out for the first time
this season and she said it would not work and started pushing buttons.

When I came back, it is asking for a 4 digit code and has [114] next to the area
to enter the code. I can't think of any code that works and would like to reset
this code and all the other codes if need be.

The only code I know of is when you try to go into the service menu. It asks for
a 5-digit code, which is "12321".

anymore or not. it did last time I used it, but thats been probably 4 years ago.
It is yellow, I believe maybe a RL1000. It also has the charging station/dock. I
have pictures if anyone is interested. Any serious offers will be considered.

There is a theft/security code you can optionally set. I've
never set it so I don't know much about it, but I think it
is 4 digits.

I'm not sure how to reset it.

There are two types of lock outs. One is the adult guard (they named it child
guard) which any child should be able to unlock. Press the c key and the up key
for 60 sec. Not your problem. The second is the theft guard. This is a four
digit user supplied code. If she was just pressing buttons the chance is good
she just confirmed the standard screen. I have no idea what that is my mower
does'nt have theft guard. If you can get into the service menu with 12321 you
may be able to reset the code. Here's what the manual states:
Enter the correct 4-digit code. `Theft Guard'
can be deactivated under `User Preferences'.
Contact your service provider for assistance in
a lost code situation.
I think it best to call probotics 1-866-392-3766 rather than post on line in
this situation.
You didn't forget her b-day did you????

I think you are going to have to test it before anyone buys it.  I don't want
to buy it and then have to sell it for scrap metal.  How long was it used?  We
need a definite answer on the model of the machine.  Any information on the
general condition of the machine would help it sell.  Thanks.

Ken

Subject: [RoboMower] Used robomower for sale

I have a used robomower that I would like to sell. Im not sure if it works
anymore or not. it did last time I used it, but thats been probably 4 years ago.
It is yellow, I believe maybe a RL1000. It also has the charging station/dock. I
have pictures if anyone is interested. Any serious offers will be considered.

It's time to lay down wire again in the front yard. I am having trouble with
repaired breaks again. It will cost about $90 to get someone to find the bad
connection and fix it.

Anyway, my question is - do I need to put up two old sets of wires that are in
the ground now? Has anyone had issues with the old wires messing up the signal
for the newly laid wire? I'm just debating if I should make the effort to pull
them out. Any advice?

Ken

I don't know if you are certain to have problems, but it is
possible.

I had a mower jump in the pool when I left an aluminum pole
lying beside the line. Something like that (or another
line) can pick up the signal.

If it's not too much trouble I'll try to pull up the old
wire. If it's going to be a real pain, maybe not.

Well, I bought the wire, staples and caulking.  I'm ready to go.  I think I
will leave the wire in the ground and see what happens.  If possible, I will
try to take out a few sections here and there.  That may prevent the signal
from transferring to the old wire.

I'm still looking for knobby tires.  If anyone has some for sale, let me
know.

Ken

Subject: Help Needed! Drive Problem Last Stop Code 10

I have an RL850 whose gears were stripped. I took a set of good gears from a
junked RL500 and swapped them all out. It drives fine in manual mode, but when
I try to start it in auto-mode it beeps, starts up, goes about 1 foot and stops.
LCD says drive problem and the last stop cause code says 10.

Any thoughts on what I need to do?
