Description
Creative and economical computerizing of your telescope mount!
The primary focus of this group is the creative and inexpensive retrofit of Meade Autostar GOTO control to the popular Vixen GP-style mounts, which includes the Vixen SP, SP-DX, GP, GP-E and GP-DX, the Celestron CG-5, Synta EQ-4, EQ-5, Jinghua HD, Orion Skyview Pro and others. Big fork and GEM mounts are popular retrofit projects too.
In fact we welcome creative GOTO projects of any kind. We all want to learn!

Thanks for the info, Gene. I'll leave that debate to those who know better than I, but my experience with the same mount was that your 909 gave much better

Rob, There have been some heated debates in other egroups on how well the 497 serial input works for guiding. Some people swear by it, other at it. I believe

Hi Renaud, You can guide using the 497 serial input port at the bottom, using a USB>serial adaptor and generic LX200 guiding commands, if your software
