I have just completed adding ds2000 motors to a celeston super polaris mount.
it all seems to work pretty good but I am having some problems with alignment.
When I select to do an easy alignment the scope moves to Arcturus and asked to
press enter. It appears to be pointing in the correct direction (this is done
inside) so I press enter and it wants to use Vega for the next Alingment star an
proceeds to move to the other side of the mount. The dec. axes seems to stop
pointing in the right direction but the RA wants to keep going and going and
going (like the energizer bunny). It seems to want to do a complete circle. Has
any one ever seen this behavior before? Autostar is setup to use DS2114 and
Mount is set to equator.

Dennis

The DS2K motors are the same as the drives used in the ETX60, 70 and 80 refractors. I think they have a different final reduction than the DS motors. So you...

Check the tooth count on the spur gears. IIRC they have differnt counts. If they do you will have to correct for it. Funny, when I was answering your question...
