Welcome to Rohde & Schwarz Instruments group

You can exchange info or ask anything related to those excellent Test & Measurement equipments. However to find the service manuals from R&S for many older equipments, is rather difficult.
So anyone that can contribute to bulid a manual library for them is more than welcomed to upload at Files section of the Group! Just a note: Yahoo uploading system doesn't allow files bigger than ~4Mb so arrange your uploading file to be at least slightly less than this size! Or you'll get an error during upload.

Roberto -- don't know about the R&S unit but I had a similar problem years ago with my IFR 1500 service monitor where the SINAD reading became very unstable.

Sinad measures the total system noise from DUT and generator. If your generator is instable it changes towards the notchfilter and so will the sinad. But I
