Thank you Prasad for those kind words.
Why don't we organize a get together and come up with
some ideas to promote this group. This will give us a
chance to see and interact with our fellow members.

Thanks

Dear Indira
thank you so much for taking time to say hi what with all thats going
on for you at the moment.....I am well, thank you, missing you and
everyone I met at the workshop:-(....I know from your previous email,
to me, you have so much to deal with due to the floods. Once again I
have to repeat that I admire your strenght with how you are dealing
with this. I have a friend who has incurred cost here due to the
tornado but like you she somehow remains positive, strong and is
coping with it. I understand that at home here we were fortunate
that lives were not lost. I am sorry to hear and read of the many
lives lost in India due to the floods. Best wishes to you your
family and friends who have experienced loss of some kind...my
thoughts are with you all.

I have spoken to Jure but not met with him since Bangalore. My
course recommences in September I don't think we will have a chance
to meet until then as he has an extremely busy schedule. In the
meantime if I know Jure as well as I think he will be reading any
contributions with delight and looking forward to an abundant
membership of SACH students and friends.

I am sure if we share more as friends, students and therapist Jure
will gladly contribute from time to time. While we remain shy I
think he will let us get on with it! (this is only my opinion).

Indira once again thank you for taking the time to add to our message
list when you have so much going on at the moment.

Fellow SACH friends I am sure I am correct in believing this page is
a fantastic opportunity to share our own day to day ongoings like
Indira, Harry and I have. I don't for one moment think we have to
email here purely as training or experienced therapist mode alone.
Prasad if I am wrong correct me here my friend....To me I believe
this page can offer support to friends of SACH India in general

love to you all
Lisa x

Hi Prasad and Harry
I hope this message finds you and all SACH India members/participants
well! :-)

Prasad, I can relate to your response -thanks for your feedback :-).
This is why I added that I am proud to be a SACH student and share
with like-minded students/friends who are learning and offering a
different approach, more beneficial/life changing for the Client.

I know it isn't easy to encourage/watch Clients get to the root of
the problem. It can be emotionally upsetting at times for the
Therapist also to see and hear the emotional pain Clients share.
Some changes the Client may need can have a knock on affect to
family/friends etc. However I do understand it's what's best for the
Client and what the Client wants.

Those that know me from the workshop you are already aware I am an
extremely sensitive soul. Although some therapist may consider me
unsuitable to practice due to my sensitivity I would argue the case
that this shows me to be real, empathetic and most of my Clients
trust and open up more due to this.

I also had a Client who knew she needed to make some changes and let
certain people leave her life (family members) to enable her to get
rid of her panic attacks. This lady after two sessions called me to
cancel her third appointment. She said she would have to
accept/tolerate her panic attacks for the rest of her life. She
thought it was too late (a lady only in her 50's whose panic attacks
had become so severe she lost her job and had taken anti-depressants
for years, described by her GP) to change her attitude/approach to
people that had bullied her. She was extremely distressed/crying
cancelling our appointment saying she wished she had the courage to
continue to strive for a better life. This was a tough one but I
obviously had to respect the Client's wishes and not "bully her" to
do what I thought was best for her. Jure if you read this I know you
will add "secondary gains".

Hi Harry sorry you couldn't make it to the Mind Body and Spirit
workshop it would have been great to meet you. Perhaps you will be
able to attend future SACH workshops in India - fingers crossed I
hope I can find the funds to enable me to assist Jure and participate
with fellow students in India again – I really enjoyed my time in
India.

We have practiced anchoring – I use it on myself for confidence
boosting for e.g. an interview or important meetings (yesterday I
attended a partnering meeting at work, very important, 19 men all
high profile and I am the only female! –anchoring helped me control
my nervous and boost my confidence – I successfully and calmly
survived that meeting)

I was reading more about stacking anchors – I think Paul McKenna
said he had a Client who has stacked up to 8 anchors. It's great
that your trainer found something positive for the Client, I wondered
how many times they had met for the Client to have suchwonderful
results? Did the skin disorder never re-appear after this (if only
one or two sessions) session or come out in another form? If
positive suggestion and anchoring alone worked for this Client what a
fantastic result! Harry thanks for the feedback look forward to
reading more soon.

Lots of love and hugs to SACH India
Lisa x

Lisa,
This is true, in many cases. The environment around the person or what
was going about / around the person is never mentioned. The main
cause could be that people / patients , attendants/ relatives of the
patient are either frightfully shy, ignorant about the importance, or
simply they just do not see the relevance or need of the same.
THIS IS JUST A THOUGHT FROM A NEW STUDENT IN INDIA - PRASAD.

Hi Lisa,
I am Harry from bangalore.I could not attend the body mind workshop. but, I
have done some work with Jure before. While I read your mail, I remembered
one of the cases I had heard about from one of my other trainers.

this client also had some kind of skin disorder and no amount of medicine
cured him and he was gradually progressing towards paranoia when he came to
my trainer.

what my trainer did was to elicit good feeling in the client and anchor it
to the things which were a part of this clients' work. the result was that
this person started to derive so much joy and fun from what he did that he
completely forgot about his skin disorder.
what happened there?

when the brain does not have enough good feelings to go thru, it starts
focussing on the bad ones. it runs over and over again in the mind and finds
an outlet in some kind of disorder which just a cry from the body for
attention.

but when u feed the brain with ecstasy, when you show that there is another
way to respond to a stimulus, it will choose the pleasant one coz brain is
hedonistic in nature.

hope this helps .

Since meeting and sharing with some of you at the mind, body and soul
workshop I notice more and more articles in magazines/papers
discussing depression/various illness, but never the person. What I
recall in particular, Jure explained this to us during the workshop,
very rarely is the individual asked what was going on in their life
when they first realised they had this disease/problem.

I read one article about a lady who suffered psoriasis since she was
11 years old. The advice she was given?! all medication and
nutrition related not once did they explore what was going on when
she was 11 years or a pattern of when the psoriasis is at it's worse.

I had a Client who also suffered with this and from only 3 meetings
it came to light that she was sexually, verbally and physically
abused by a member of her family. She has spent most of her time in
and out of hospital. Her GP said he doesn't know how to calm her
condition down. She believes shedeveloped this skin problem to stop
her from going outside mixing with others and forcing her to spend
more time alone/isolated. She orginally called me up to arrange an
appointment because she was stressed and suffered agoraphobia, she
would very rarely go outside due to feeling self-concious about the
appearance of her skin. Secondry-gains. This lady has called me a
few times (something must be working!!) I hope the more I learn from
SACH and fellow students the more I can pass on to this Client to
enable more of us to have a happy/healthy life.

I am so proud to be a SACH student and to be able to share my
thoughts, feelings with like-minded people who want to help and
develop ourselves as well as help individuals - not shove people into
groups.

Hope my Bangalore friends are well and happy - tell me what's new?
