Hi all;

My name is Ray Warchol. I am Dir of Technical Operations for Edward Don and
Company. I am new to your group and very interested in what it can offer as
our company just signed up to SAP a few weeks ago. So right now, SAP is a
three letter acronym and not much more. My teams responsibility to the group
is 90% on the hardware and connectivity. Another team is responsible for the
actual application development.

The main thing I would be looking for are any "gotchas" when configuring the
partitions on the iSeries. Also, I understand that some applications run
better on a Microsoft box than on the iSeries. We will be loading the SAP
software on a IBM570 Power 6 box with 4 processors initially. If someone can
share partition configs with me, that would be helpful. We are a company
with 1200 employees running Daly-Wolcot legacy applications supporting a
$500M distribution business on a IBM 520.

I look forward to using this new resource (SAPoniSeries) often.

Regards, Ray Warchol
