Hi Diana

Try

SAP* (06071992)
DDIC (19920706)

for a normal SAP system. If SAP* has been deleted, it is suppose to reset
back to PASS.

Hi member of this great SAP on iSeries Group!

We wanted to let you know that we are about to move this great group to the SAP
SDN. This is a new service of SAP that has similar features like the yahoo group
but adds several advantages.

A few of these advantages are the following ones:
- The threads are ordered "on a good basis" with "last update first" and the
threads are together => you get a lot more overview and can easily skip topics,
that you are not interested in
- You are part of the big SAP SDN Community
- You can REALLY search for old threads (in yahoo this seems often not to work
properly)
- SAP employees are watching and answering in these forums as well
- You are rewarded with "Forum Points" when you help to solve issues => you will
receive T-Shirts or similar stuff from SAP
- These forums are moderated by SAP => you can expect not to see SPAM in there
- You are just a mouse click away from additional SAP resources like developer
blogs, eLearning material, and a huge download area
- You can mark questions as solved so nobody has to read a whole thread just to
find out the problem is already solved
- Inside the SDN there are forums for all kinds of SAP related topics. It’s easy
to get in touch with experts from all these forums.

You can find more information on how to do this change at:
http://www.4soi.de/SDN-Forum.php

The corresponding SAP on iSeries group in the SDN is "SAP on DB2 UDB for i5/OS
(DB4)" which can be reached with the following link:
https://sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/forum?forumID=186

Hi Prince,

I had a look around and there seems to be something like "Articles,
FAQs, How-to Guides, Whitepapers" where I might think, it is the
thing we are looking for ...
I will have to dig more into that as I didn't do a test in order to
place there some stuff to ...

Hi all!

Anyone is using workflow in 46C release with integration on Outlook via
SAPforms and MAPI? What is the version of Outlook? Are there problems
using OL2003?

We're planning to upgrade R/3 to ECC 6.0, workflow still running after
the upgrade? And how do I integrate with mail service, by WAS 640?

The receivers should be in a new R3<sid>JRN library located in ASP 1
(library created in instructions I sent before)

Mark thanks again for your assistance. One more question because I have
never deleted and recreate
the journal receivers, in the creation process to parm JRN is QSQJRN and
the library is R3<DATABASE>DATA with the
parm JRNRCV what is the name and lib should be entered here? Thanks again
for your assistance and please send me the

Crosby (from Itelligence, correct)?

1. Run AS4FIXFILE and end journaling.
2. Create a new Journal Receiver Library on ASP1 (system ASP)
3. Create a new journal receiver in the new library
4. Delete QSQJRN in the R3 database library (CHGJRN does not allow you to
change the ASP designation)
5. Create a new QSQJRN in the R3 database library and assign ASP1 as well
as the new journal receiver and library just created!
5. Run AS4FIXFILE and startup journaling again

Should be using SDN for these questions!!

Doreen,

I have a small 400 that I use as a practice box and I had created a second

ASP, however after installed a system on it I deleted the second ASP but
for got to stop the journaling. Now the system will not come up and there
are no journaling occuring. How do I recreate the journaling and point it
to ASP 1?

Even with *AUTODELETE the receivers won't delete until the copy
completes due to SAP's commit cycles

Hi Joe,

you should set the *JRNRCVs for that time on *AUTODELETE ...that
would be the easiest.
turning off doesn't work, because SAP uses COMMIT.

Re: [SAPoniSeries] Re: Client copy - journaling and asp usage

Hi Joe,

you should set the *JRNRCVs for that time on *AUTODELETE ...that
would be the easiest.
turning off doesn't work, because SAP uses COMMIT.

Since we are still at 4.0B (don't ask and I promise I won't scream), I
guess TPPARAM is where I should look. I'll look in OSS notes and see
you over at the SDN.

Hi Rick,

TPPARAM is since 4.5x outdated ... it is the TP parameters in STMS
that are stored (copied) to DOMAIN_sid.PFL or similar ...

Cross posting again - sorry. The STMS profile? Is that what I get when

follow up over on SDN when I finally come up for air. Thanks again.

OK - I found the SDN so you can ignore that question.

Hi Rick,

SDN is SAP Developer Network and you should have a look at the
following site for these kind of questions:
https://sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/forum?forumID=186

YES, the stuff is imported in the order in the queue - not in any
date order (even when it should map mostly).
If you are outdated now, I'm pretty sure, your import buffer was
manipulated :-((

How to disable the "import all button" ?
In the STMS profile activate the following:
NO_IMPORT_ALL 1

When doing the stuff above, the following makes sense as well in my
eyes:
IMPORT_SINGLE_ONLY 1
IMPORT_SINGLE_STRATEGY 1

What, pray tell is the SDN? I would be happy to move my questions
wherever is appropriate. I would also be happy to reconsider our
transport strategy to something that makes sense - perhaps you could
give me a hint. This is an absolute mess and I don't understand why. I
would have thought that the immport all would import in date sequence.
We have SAP programs that are two or three service packs behind and
user programs that are 7 or 8 transports behind. At the moment we are
picking them off one at a time as the problems arise. Finally, how do
I disable that import all button? Thanks.

Hi Rick,

the only option is RMVJRNCHG or APYJRNCHG with the last backup.
Perhaps this could be reduced to a few tables only - but this is
even very depending on the transports. Once, I did this based on the
transports for 6-10 tables ...

But, you should reconcider your transport strategy !
btw: you can disable the "import all" button if you like as well ...

AND:
Please move your questions to the SDN :-)

Since go-live in July of 1999, we have always done our inports
individually from the command line. Rightly or wrongly, that's the way
we were taught to do it. (I'm guessing part of that was because of all
the addtobuffers for multiple clients in DEV). We have recently
upgraded to zero-interactive boxes and have been doing our imports
through STMS. However, someone mistakenly did an import of the queue
instad of an individual request (effectively doing an import ALL).
This has created a major mess so ...

1) Is there a recovery from this other than RMVJRNCHG? (a prospect I
am definitely not looking forward to)
2) Should we be doing import ALL on a regular basis? (like before
every support package install)

Thanks,
Rick

I should know this but I don't. Is there a way to undo an unconfirmed
repair? A brief (I hope) history. Coworker was working on adding
another language to the instance using note 123235 and imported
SAPKL40B03. Unfortunately, that note overlaid a bunch of source that
had been updated with a later fix pack. Version management does NOT
show the previous versions. Is there a "neat" way to undo this or will
I have to go into each source member and export it and create my own
transport?

Thanks,
Rick

Chris,
I have installed it and collected data at several customer sites.
The one that I have used is from IBIS. I'll send you an overview
document.

Hi Andre

You need the following PTF for the INPLACE Conversion "PTF SI26719". This
PTF is availible for the V5R4.
Otherwise your conversion makes big trouble.

If you not plan a "INPLACE conversion" you must doing the "old way EXPORT
IMPORT".

  Hello group!

Someone already made an upgrade from 46C to ECC6? How are the steps for

I think it is necessary to change EBCDIC kernel by ASCII kernel first,
