[SAR-IL] Icom V82 Handheld radio

Hey Ted,

I have been looking at the Icom V82 Handheld radio. It must be somewhat new
since I haven't heard much about it until now.

Anyway I thought that you might be interested to know that it is a handheld
radio with 7watts of power. Probably the most powerfull out there. It is still
the size of the V8 and infact the batteries, chargers etc are interchangable. It
also has an optional mic that can program the freq. Similar to the one with the
V8000 mobile unit. Now for the kicker, interfaced with a GPS unit, it can share
coordinates with other units that are interfaced. And with GPS locator software
on your PC it can be tracked! Oh, it also has a type of Caller ID that indicates
who is communicating with you and stores the call sign. And it is MARS/CAP
upgradeable.

All this for a base price of $129.00 from Ebay Store estpoelectronics

FYI, Tim
