Kentucky Area 2 Dive Team received a grant and purchased a Marine
Sonic Side Scan System, and a new Rescue Boat has been ordered. Side
Scan Sonar training occurred at Grand Rivers, KY on Oct 16 and 17,
2007. OVSAR was asked to assist. Area 2 boat will be delivered
aprox Dec. 07 very similar to the OVSAR boat.

I recently assisted with this training and learned alot.

1. How to setup a "box" to define a search area.
2. How to "Mow the Grass" search pattern. Overlap coverage.
3. Mark a target and look at it from different passes.
4. Return to a waypoint and drop a buoy.
5. Review recorded images on the software.
