Just a reminder that the annual Indian Pow Wow will be held at the Cahokia Mounds picnic grounds from Friday through Sunday, September 10-12. There will be both competitive and social dancing at the dance circle with Indian dancers from across the nation, and Northern and Southern Drums, starting Friday evening, Sept. 10, from 6-10 p.m.; Saturday, Sept. 11, from Noon to 5 p.m. and again from 6-10 p.m.; and Sunday from Noon to 5 p.m. There will also be about 30 trader booths and food and refreshment stands available. Bring a lawnchair or blanket and enjoy the event. Parking will be at the picnic grounds. The Pow Wow is sponsored by the Thunderbird Society-Eagle Lodge.
