The Illinois Chapter of the Trail of Tears Association (TOTA) will hold a
General Membership Meeting for current and prospective members on Saturday,
November 13, at the Cahokia Mounds State Historic Site (CMSHS) in Collinsville,
Illinois (

.. 12:00pm ... Break for lunch (on your own)
... 1:30pm ... Meet back at CMSHS for tour (inside and/or outside, depending on
weather, so wear comfortable shoes and clothes.)
TOTA is a non-profit, membership organization formed to support the creation,
development, and interpretation of the Trail of Tears National Historic Trail.
TOTA's mission is to promote and engage in the protection and preservation of
Trail resources; to promote awareness of the Trail's legacy, including the
removal stories of the Cherokee, Chickasaw, Choctaw, Muscogee (Creek), and
Seminole; and to perpetuate the management and development techniques that are
consistent with the National Park Service's trail plan.
