Some of you may not have gotten the email I sent out yesterday about Al
Meyer's passing on Saturday so I am sending this update.

The services for Al Meyer will be held Monday, March 6, at the Gaerdner
Funeral Home, 250 Lebanon Road, Belleville, IL. Visitation will be at 5 and a
memorial service at 6 pm. His wife, Ava, says that in lieu of flowers, those who
wish to remember Al can make donations in his name to Southern Illinois
Hospice, the Cahokia Mounds Museum Society research fund, or just buy yourself
a
book about history, art, genealogy or archaeology and think of Al. The
funeral home will forward any donations made there or you can send them
directly to
Hospice or CMMS. The Cahokia Archaeological Society will be making a
donation in his name to the Illinois Association for Advancement of Archaeology
Permanent Fund. and individual CAS members may add to that donation if they
wish.
