I've done lots of tests along these lines... doesn't work. Yes, you may end up with a huge file scanning a print, but the resolution of the paper is nowhere...

From memory, the setup was a bit like an 'ersatz camera' from a block of wood (or whatever) with a camera lens mounted on top and the film across a 'gate'...
