Any info on Nokia N70 ?   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #377 of 438 |

Guys,

The www.svg.org website shows the Nokia N70 as « SVG Tiny 1.1 » compliant device…

I’ve bought this device from Orange in France… but it doesn’t seems to have any support

“by default” of SVGT… Is this wrong or is there anything to install?

Fyi,

my other device a Sony Ericsson K600i works fine and supports by default both : Flash Lite and SVGT !

Regards

As Antoine mentioned, there is an SVG-T renderer on the N70. The tutorials are SVG files created with Beatware Mobile Designer. You need to select the SVG-T...

... That's a familiar message, see: http://svg.org/story/2004/12/13/165536/63 The chances are therefore high that the SVG Tiny implementation on the N70 is...

The N70 is not Flash Lite enabled. But if the Flash Lite viewer has been installed on this device this could be the problem. I experienced the same behavior...

This is kind of a problem, imho. <rant> I just picked up a Nokia 9300 communicator believing the PR which said that it supports SVG, and was surprised/dismayed...

Indeed. You are perfectly correct and I would even add to the complexity: there are four levels of devices with “SVG inside”: - Devices equipped...

You are right Marc, Flash player 1.1.0.0 was installed on this Nokia N70 phone. Unfortunately, without this software, the message is now “unknown file ...

The Flash Lite viewer obviously took control of your SVG mime type settings and deleting the viewer didn’t restore them. So, perhaps it was working before...
