The Silicon Valley SPIN is a forum for the free and open exchange of software process improvement ideas and practical experiences. We promote achieving higher levels of process maturity, software quality, and mutual respect. Our goal is to enhance the skills and support technology transition through an active program of networking, publications, recognition of excellence, and mutual support.

SPIN meetings are held at Cisco Systems (Map and Directions) from 5:45 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. the last Wednesday of every month (except March and December). Each meeting addresses a specific topic. Previous topics have included CMMI^®, PSP^SM, metrics, change management, requirements management, customer satisfaction, and ISO 9001. The Silicon Valley SPIN currently has no fees; all meetings are open and free to all software process practitioners and their associates.
