It seems that the clock / Time signals are incuded with the TV signals
in analog form and the converted Digital signals do not carry the time
signal. So this issue may not be HDMI but a larger one.

I do not know if there is any other way. However, you can add a cable
splitter before the hooking the cable to the cable box and then
additionally connecting the second cable to the ANT input.
