I am not using a cable box - the cabe goes directly into the TV Cable
input and I also have a HDUHF antenna connected to the ANT input and
they both fail to set the clock and the clock can not be set manually
either. I enter any digit into the hours and it goes to 1 and can not
be changed.

Sounds like you have the same clock problem I have - it stopped working a few months after I got my 26" tv - can't set it manually or automatically at all. Jan...

It seems that the clock / Time signals are incuded with the TV signals in analog form and the converted Digital signals do not carry the time signal. So this...
