Does anyone know anything about the SEDG AVI format that is proprietary
to Samsung? We're having trouble getting AVI's from the SC-DC164
camcorder to a regular DVD. I've downloaded the
20070419083726031_driver_20070322 from the website for Vista but
Windows Media Player, Quicktime, and DIVX don't play the file
properly. It only plays with Media Player but sound only. I tried
changing the format of the file to DIVX so maybe Virtualdub would see
it but it seems scrambled. The only software that came with the
camcorder was Quicktime but I have a later version installed - hoped
the driver would be seen by it.

The Samsung website has been little help - you can't even find the
camcorder when you search for it. I had to do a Google search to find
it. It seems like I need some program to recognize the codec but I
can't get any to. Thanks.
