Re: [Scrum-India] Apprisal Process in Scrum.

This is a great discussion.

Can any one share a few company names that has implemented these type of changes along with their Agile/Scrum adoption?

Thanks
Manoj

Absolutely agree with Siddharth,

Models that I have seen working with teams that I have coached include base salaries and a base bonus based on the performance as a team. Some additional bonus for people who helped the team perform better, based on the team's feed back on each of the others.

Thanks,
Sarath.

Some things that I would like a team member to be rewarded on should be :
  1. Customer collaboration, communication and initiative to add value to the customer's business.
  2. Quality of the code
  3. Ability to identify problem areas in the team, help the team improve on those and seek the team's help on his/her weaknesses.
  4. Commitment to the agile values and practices
  5. Ability to learn, collaborate and help others achieve goals together.
  6. Ability to work together in the team.
  7. Ability to pitch in as a cross functional member, helping the team in areas that are not his basic core. (For exmple a dev helping with testing tasks, etc).
So basically I would value his/her performance and ATTITUDE during the project.
This is kind of an already solved problem. We just need to look at any team based activity, like say a cricket team. You don't see Tendulkar and Dravid rewarded in proportion to the hundreds that they score. Instead there are some slabs and everyone in one slab gets the same amount. When the team does well, everyone gets an equal bonus. If someone gets man of the match, the reward is split equally among everyone. If someone is not performing, you dont adjust the salary, you drop them from the team.
