On leg (nearest) has the roll servo reversed in the bracket (for a test). But all four legs have their knee in the fore-aft plane. They *could* be rotated to

Yup! Right picture. I guess I'm not seeing it for walking left-right. Somehow (other then tank mode) need to swing the heading (yaw). Otherwise, 2DOF and
