Weight loss is a perennial favorite topic among health-oriented people.
It turns out that the Shangri La Diet isn't the only weight management
approach that's consistent with self-experimentation. IE is too. Some of
the main points from IE:
•Learn to recognize when your're physically hungry. Then sit down and
eat, even if it's 'not time' to eat.
•Eat satisfying food.
•Learn to recognize when your body tells you that you've had enough to
eat. Then stop eating.
I looked through the Yahoo groups that discuss IE. Diet Survivors is the
best one. The emphasis there is the psychology of normal eating, and
emotional support for people who are learning the IE skills. Here's a link.
